One good thing is that you are still checking into this site. Just keep reading other's journals and you just might get inspired. Get your MOJO back!! Or at least, eat healthy and get some movement going on for your body.

When you are ready you will get back to a healthy lifestyle. Until then, don't feel too guilty, we all go through that phase sooner or later.

Eat what you want, not what you think you should have. Moderation, no deprivation. Listen to yourself. it'll all come together. You probably need a break. If you are not feeling it, don't force it. Relax, sometimes all the food logging and planning is too much....i am not saying give up...just give in to what you are feeling right now...Hope this helps. I KNOW EXACTLY how you feel.

Nice to see you here. You have to decide for you what your path is. No one else can decide that for you. You have had a lot of stress over the last year, so give yourself a break to find what you want, not what anyone else wants but you.

I was like that last month. Take some time off, do what you want, then come back at it.

Maybe do 50% and 50% meaning eat well half the day and then the other part of the day just eat what calls to you.

Hang in there! We all need a break sometimes. You will get walking more and make better food choices. If you can't go outside to walk, just do some marching in place or watch a zumba video at youtube and do some of that. How heavy is your baby? Pushing baby in a stroller or carrying baby in a snuggly baby carrier will burn calories. :)

Like the fact that you come here to unburden - it means that in fact you want to do something about it. It's in your subconscious for sure or you would not be here. Change is not easy but it is often necessary to get us to where we need or want to be. I love what WFN, HCB and Deb_N said. All good advice to help you get back on your path. Take care of yourself and never give up - it's not an option. Hugs!

I echo the above sentiments. Don't go all in, but don't go all out for a break. Adopt that 'I'll have this instead of that' ie bad but not obscene! lol

I've had a couple periods since I started back in May where I've had a harder time of finding motivation and sticking to my eating/exercise plan. What gets me back on track is thinking about how far I've come and the consequences of going back to what I used to do that got me overweight with health issues in the first place. Don't want to go back there again. Once I do get back into the swing I feel much better physically and mentally and that is encouragement to keep going. The same is probably true for you. Hang in there. :)

I know what you mean, but we sometimes have to make ourselves do it. I've been in a rut since before Thanksgiving and just can't get out, but it's my own fault. I know I can be disciplined, but I have to make myself and I know I can exercise, but I have to make myself. Excuses are easier to make than habits. We have to stop saying I'll start tomorrow or I'll do better next time, and do better now. I'm in the same boat, so I know where you're coming from, but we have to make the choice for ourselves if we're going to eat junk and be sedentary or not. Good luck!

Yes - I just remembered when I was eating less well last Fall, I at least went to the gym to offset the eating. Maybe start with one little piece of either option: exercise or food. Typically, once I do better with one part the other part follows.
