I did it! Reached my first goal well ahead of my goal of July 4th! Even if my doctor's scale doesn't show it, I can't wait to tell him I've lost 20 lbs! My physical is on Friday and I'm going to rock it.

Last night was my "walking" night. I have been rather bored with my same old/same old route and there are only so many options where I live. About a year ago I tried to conquer a large hill that heads out into the country. I made it about half way up and had to give up.

With how annoying having my back flare up can be, I have avoided that hill until now, wanting to get my routine well-established. Last night I not only attempted that huge hill, I made it ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP!!!

Yes!

Assuming I don't fall over, crippled for the next week, I think I'll try to get beyond that first hill and on to the next one! I'll let you know how that next goal goes...

Today my husband and I are having a photo session at our favorite park in order to have a nice 25th anniversary portrait to remember this milestone. I got a new hairdo a couple months ago and have learned how to style it. Unfortunately, some days it comes out really good and some days, not so much.

I have been a bit nervous about how it would turn out on the all-important day of our photo shoot. Well, it didn't turn out terrible, but it also isn't at its best. Ah well, at least I don't have to waste any more thought on it!

Tonight after the photo shoot we are having my daughter and SIL over (with the grandsons) for an early Father's Day celebration. My husband and my SIL both have to work on Sunday, so we are working around their schedule. I look forward to spending some quality time with them.

Thanks so much everyone! I've decided to make Friday mornings my day to climb the hills, as I don't have to work until noon. I don't like having to wait until after 8 pm for it to be cool enough, so mornings should do it. I'll try to pick one other day that I work at 9 am to get up SUPER early for a walk. Cross your fingers for my labwork on Friday! BTW, the photographer did a great job and we took pictures in 5 different locations (sitting under some trees, standing under different trees, walking down a beautiful path in the park, on the bridge over Silver Creek, on a different bridge (covered) down the way a bit, and finally, in front of a vintage old store in our beautiful historic town. I can't wait to see them!
