SO I had 3 kids in 5 years and while I thought I did fairly well with each pregnancy... I want my body back!!! I am almost there. I have had issues with eating disorders in the past so my greatest concern now will be to maintain a healthy weight without going too far underweight.

I work 40 hours a week with eye doctors scheduling procedures. My children keep me on my feet. My 5 year old is graduating from kindergarten and my near 3 yr old and one year old go to daycare in another town so my days fly by (i spend 2 hours just driving!). Little time for exercise but I get in 20 minute walks on my lunch. I eat what I can when I can but some days I find little time. Protein bars are starting to fill the empty gaps...

Looking to maintain my weight while staying healthy... not sure how to do that yet!

I feel so much more power when I know I turned something down. my husband was eating chips last night on the couch and I could smell them and it was DELICIOUS> when he put the bag away - I thought - well at least I didn't eat any. I know the feeling of not eating them is stronger than when I do. so I focus on that and turn a cheek Smile

metabolism over 40
I don't know if it will help or not but when I feel my metabolism has slowed down... I eat all day. its sound strange but small meals all day long work for me... every hour eat something small... handful of nuts, apple... couple boiled eggs.. span out your calories over the course of a day.. that seems to boost mine. im about to attempt the 16:8 fast where you only eat in an 8 hour window... I am curious as to what that might do for metabolism. Good luck!

How many calories per day?
also - I don't pay attention to my fat. I have no idea what it is, never look at it. basically the carbs and calories are low enough - I know I must be ok because the proof is on the scale Smile
everyone is different. they do say 50-100 carbs to lose.. less than 50 is ketosis.. I never went under 50.. I stayed around 80-100 and I didn't feel like I was starving... GOOD LUCK!

How many calories per day?
I am 5' and I will 33 next week. I started dieting the start of February this year. I was 146 when I started. I cut to (depending on how serious you are - I was on a mission) - but I cut to 900-1000 calories and no more than 100 carbs and I ensured no less than 60g of protein... I dropped about 15 pounds the first months and another 10 the month of march. I took me no time at all to lose the rest (I am now 117). my maintaining diet is 1000-1200 calories, 100-140 carbs and I still try to keep up my protein. when I go over the 1200 (weekends I am usually 1200-1500 calories, I just do better during the week so that my monthly average stays 1100-1200. I think if you started at 12-1300 calories it would be a good start. if the results aren't fast enough, go a little lower. ... but your height and age I don't think its far off...
