I'm 55 years old and been struggling my entire life with being over weight. I had two children, my son died 17 years ago and with that came enormous depression. I am feeling better now, like I can go on living so I am back at trying to get this weight to leave me. I have a beautiful daughter that makes everyday worth waking up.
December 31, 2013 I went to my doctor's office to do a final weigh in for this year. The last time I had weighed in at my doctor's office I weighed 346 lbs, today I weighed 313.4 lbs. I feel so good to have accomplished 32.5 lbs in 6 months and actually I only started dieting seriously in September so Yeah! I did it.
My New Year's goal is to achieve my goal weight and to build my self esteem to assist me in keeping the weight off. I've always had problems with keeping the weight off. I don't want to have to lose the weight again so I am going to be taking a more drastic measure this time to keep the weight off. I will still have to watch my calories, exercise and be more mindful of healthy choices. This year 2014 is the year I am finished with the old me and bringing out the me that has been hidden under way too much fat.
