HCB's Journal, 29 September 2012

Very good day with both food and exercise. We went to a baseball game and guess what I ate? NOTHING, NADA, ZILCH, ZERO that was off my food plan. I brought and ate raw almonds, turkey jerky and an apple. I also drank three liters of water during the game!

It was great to ignore all the high fat, high calorie foods all around me! And, there are long, and steep, stairways around the field and I was running up them! I used to huff and puff - today I ran!
My DH was shocked and laughing with joy for me!

Then, once home, I "butt-kicked" myself into a good workout with one of my JM circuit training DVDs.

SO, all in all, a very good Fat Secret day.

Still grateful for:

- The good health of my loved ones
- My FS Buddies who support and encourage me to continue
- "Butt-kicking" myself to a smaller size today
- My DH - who is my greatest "cheerleader"
- My Bengal cat companions named Bodhi and Ravi
- My work - which has meaning and worth to other human beings
- My connection to the Mother Earth and its entire splendor
- My physical health

OMG We all want to be you... I cannot tell you how you inspire so many of us. Like me. I can eat perfectly, but I want ( and do) ZERO on any kind of exercise, (does grocery shopping count?) So a big THANK YOU to all of us feeling the nudge...Hey, I told my husband to put that damn exercise bike where I could see TV and ride...does this count???? :)

Great for you HCB! It really feels AWESOME to achieve things you didn't think you could even a short time ago. I know what you mean about doing things that used to have you huffing and puffing and now you can do them easily. Great for you to resist temptation at a sporting event - sporting event food doesn't usually tempt me, but I am sucker for pizza. If I went over to a friend's house and they were having pizza and I ate a salad, I would be white knuckling through it. Turkey jerky and an apple - while surrounded by nachos, hot dogs, fried Twinkies - you did great!

Very happy that you had such a good day. I know you have the willpower in you to conquer those bad food demons. It feels great to be able to do things we couldn't do before, doesn't it? Way to go!!!
