New bio. On 6/13/14 I turned 70 years old. Four years ago, I discovered I am a celiac. My whole life changed. I started losing weight, my chronic "diseases" started to alleviate, I no longer had to have transfusions 3-4 times a year for anemia. All of my lipids fell into the normal range. I am no longer diagnosed with diabetes, IBS, colitis, GERD, chronic bronchial asthma, etc., etc., etc. I'm no longer taking many of the prescriptions I had to take. It's no fair that no-one found this earlier. My whole life might have been so different. I'm just thankful it finally was!

I live with an antique Yorkie, two cats and a cockatoo. I belong to a medieval recreation society and do many handcrafts, mostly to do with fiber. My favorites are weaving and felting. I was an illustrator and graphic designer before retirement. I have three biological children and one adopted, the youngest.

I'm lucky, at this age, to have a very active social life. Most weekends, I get dressed up in costumes and go play medieval games with 200-400 of my favorite friends. They do a good job of pretending they love me. LOL! I'm a very lucky lady!!!

King, you'll notice that ltzjstjeff has only lost 1 lb. By his calculations, I will only be allowed 875 calories a day, if I ever reach my 125 lb goal. There are so many dynamics to losing weight and each person is so different. 875 calories will NEVER be an option. majarichie, I can so sympathize.

Oh, and I heard one Dr. Say NOT to take raspberry ketone. It can mess up other biological systems. I don't know, but I'd rather be safe than sorry.
