I've been doing Jillian Michaels DVD for beginners "Fronts and Backs" circuit training - the "beginner" part is that it is mostly low impact on the cardio parts. "Fronts and Backs" just refers to the muscle groups. I alternate days, and I do cycling or a cardio DVD on other days.

Thanks to JM, I am zipping up pants, skirts, shorts and dresses that I could not zip ten days ago! Amazing results...for a short time! Just imagine what I could do as I move to her more difficult DVDs! WooHOO

Try "Banish Fat, Boost Metabolism" I think she includes your favorite things - burpees, planks and push-ups! I do "knee" pushups and cannot yet do burpees, and I can plank about 15 seconds and then scream!

What awesome results! I really need to get going with my kettle bell again. It is a great workout in a short time. Have an awesome Sunday!

The "planks" are killers. I have a front butt & a bubble butt so I might order that DVD! Thanks for the tip Babe! My complaint about most exercise DVD's is that - instead of offering something new - the exercise specialists simply present a re-mix of the moves presented on their earlier productions. I used to be a big Denise Austin fan. Her productions repeat themselves in an ineffective manner. Take care Kiddo!

Hellz yeah! A great motivator to get into those smaller clothes. :-D Oh, and BTW...the record for the longer plank held...80 minutes...OMG!!

HaHa! Yeah, 54-yr old, former Marine, George Hood holds the plank record from December 2011. He broke his prior record by 30 minutes!

I have 30 day shred and can barely make it through the first one. Great to hear that you are seeing results. I got it thinking it would help me change up my rutine but I actually like the gym and get more accomplished there. Looking into weekly TRX training sessions. Now that is gonna be rough. Hoping I can get a friend to go with me. Talking to them about it tonight.

I do not think I am hard core...(yet!) - but realized walking 3 miles a day and biking on weekends wasn't building core strength, muscle fiber, or toning...so decided to give the DVDs a try.
