HCB's Journal, 14 July 2012

OK Buddies, to follow the recent trend in journals (and my buddy Jess's lead), I proclaim some fonts to be used for:

SARCASM

TMI Too much information

Happiness in your journal

Love in your journal

Agitation in your journal

Sad in your journal

Italics for emphasis

Bold for attention

CAPITAL LETTERS for yelling!

AND, you may use the bold, italic, and capital letters with the colors to really really really get your point across!!!!!!!

HAVE A HAPPY DAY

LOL!!! Where's the colour green? ;-) Actually am a computer neophyte and not sure how to get colours on FS? Just had to say "hello" and "thank you" for your kind words on my journal. Glad to hear that you are feeling well again. God bless.:)

Oh yeah? Well, who put you in charge ;) ;) I like all of 'em except the happiness one...I could never use orange for that. Let's make happiness green, and then Body Bliss will be green with happiness (lol)...I don't know how to do colors, either...could you 'splain it?

OK - so happiness is now green!

OK - baxie and bodybliss: when you do a journal entry, view the upper left corner of the journal box. you will see a place with a drop-down menu for colors. highlight the words you wish to color or B - bold I - italic or U - underline. It will not show in the journal until you "submit" the entry. then you will see it when you reviw it. when you submit a comment to a journal, I don't think we have that option.

So sorry for the long qualification surrounding my question -- tough to lead in & lead out. I have a question for ya. Is the color code a standard employed by all members? If so - I fear that I have broken a FS rule & I don;t want to do that. Friendly Smile. If this trend something that you & a few buds have adopted - that's cool too. I try to follow email ettiquite but I do not always comply. I do hope that my block capital letters are not interpreted as shouting. Eeeeeeeek! I am so LINGUISTIC that use words to express. For example - my use of the word "linguistic" in capital letters did not appear in a shout. It appeared emphatically. I capitalized the word for emphasis. I feel bad if hollering is the (interpreted) case - no pun intended as that word "case" applies to lower "case" & upper "case" letters. I am accustomed to working with Microsoft Word in preparing materials for high school students. We use "block capital" letters as headings and titles for projects. That is the frame of reference for my capital letters and when I examine journal content - I do not "read" capital letters in a shout. Looking forward to your explanation. Have a great day!

So sorry to be so wordy! So sorry to be so apologetic! He-he-he-he-he-he-he! I am the kind of member who employs the term "He-he-he-he-he" instead of the letters "LOL." He-he-he-he-he-he-he!

W4 - this was meant as comic relief based on one of my previous journals!!!!!

Should have used your sarcasm font throughout the journal... ;) W4 - the voice in my head always reads capital letters as a shout.....

Thanks for the explanation. I should have referred to your previous journals. So I was a bit lazy in that regard. Sarcasm is sometimes difficult to pick up on in our journals but superfluous punctuation is pretty clear. Thanks again. Understanding Smile!
