I am a 30 year old physics and math teacher at a new york city public school. I live in Brooklyn. I have been with my boyfriend for the past 4 years. We have lived together in the same apartment for the past 3 years. I am a big yo-yoer but the past year and a half I gradually changed my lifestyle and am in a healthy place. I still have a way to go in terms of controlling what I eat but I love exercise. A big part of that was changing my gym to Equinox which is a 5 minute walk from my apartment. Equinox is a top notch gym and even though I pay 110 a month (thats with a discount) I know I made the right choice.
My exercise routine is 6 days a week with two early morning spin classes, so im at the gym 8 times a week. I start my routine with cardio and then weight lift via stations. I am big into circuit training, meaning I usually workout two muscle groups and my abs a workout. I do three sets of exercises with no breaks inbetween three times. I complete 3 sets of my 3 sets within a workout. It looks like this: day 1 is chest and biceps so Set 1 is bench press, hammer curl and plank. I do the three exercises with no break and then take a short break after the plank and repeat the three exercises again two times. Set 2 chest flys, bar curls, crunches done in the same fashion as set 1. Set 3 push-ups, isolated biceps, leg lifts also done like set 1.
I am pretty happy with my body changes but still have that tire (lower belly fat and love handles). My goal is to lose those at sometime. I understand change is gradual so bring it on!
