I just finished my freshman year of college. And yes, you guessed it, I'm trying to get off my freshman-year weight! Ideally, I want to be back to my driver's license weight of 100 pounds, which, as of 6/28, is 8 pounds away. The good news is that I've already taken off 6 since being home from school!

I have a BIG problem controlling my cravings; I'm a sucker for sweets, especially CHOCOLATE! I get my chocoholism from my father... gr! So I'm trying to work on that.

In addition to losing weight, or maybe more importantly, I want to slim down and tone up, mainly by reducing calories and fat and increasing protein. Any random tips you may have would be greatly appreciated!

Is there really any evidence that eating later at night causes you to be fatter??
I have the same thing, and it's bad because I won't eat until later in the day but then am RAVENOUS around 9 pm, at which point i gorge, and then am not hungry the next morning, and the cycle continues (this also contributes to less-than-fun morning weigh-ins!!)

I need snacking ideas aside from fruit!
FIBER ONES in any and every flavor.

or for something a bit more savory, i'm a big fan of toasted pita with a bit of hummus

I'm having trouble finding a way to keep calories low without starving myself... I won't be hungry until 2 PM or so, but then I'll munch like crazy at night, and the cycle continues... with my calorie goal of about 900-1000 per day, it doesn't leave much room to mess up snacks or meals... Any tips would be fantastic!

I came to school doing GREAT, kept up all my good eating/workout habits, and the occasional slip didn't cause me issues. However, as the semester went on and my stress levels skyrocketed, my eating habits plummeted. I eat whatever I want now, and am up about 10 pounds from summer Sad

I really need to figure out how to get back on track, because I know I have done it before, but I just can't seem to make myself. Any suggestions?
