I am a 40 year old mother of 3 very active boys. I need to get in better shape to keep up with them and be a good role model. It is very easy for them to glue themselves to the couch and play video games, but the love doing things outside. All of them have the potential to be very athletic, so I need to show them a better lifestyle. I also want to be very fit, would love to be able to run 5 miles without passing out and do pull-ups. I've got the muscles, just no strength.

Update: Doing crossfit and love it.

Veggies For Breakfast
Just made another one very similar with 3 strips center cut bacon (only 70 calories), cut into pieces, cook then add a couple of handfuls of cut up kale, saute. Cook seperately 3 eggs over easy/med. Then place kale on plate, top with eggs and some jalapeno's, chop up and enjoy! Almost forgot the splash of basalmic vinegar on the kale before placing the eggs. Makes the kale not bitter.

Veggies For Breakfast
My absolute favorite breakfast salad is greens topped with a slice or two of chopped bacon (I put it on the salad while still hot), then 2 over easy/med eggs, avacodo, sliced jalapeno's (from the jar) and a drizzle of balsalmic vinegar. Then I chop it all up together, yummy. Kind of like a warm spinach, bacon & egg salad.

Try aloe, it works for me. Juice or tablets, either way.

Weight Loss for Ketogenic or Paleo Diet
I was not looking for advice on how to diet, but more rather on the science behind it. Everyone has their own belief system, I've done the research and I do what works best for my body. I don't log everything I eat and I am not anywhere near 100% but I am working on it. I am tweeking my percentages to see what works best for me. Thanks for the responses, I appreciate that you took the time to try and answer my question.
