Hello there everyone I am a second timer to the Atkin's Diet I lost 25 lbs 17 yrs ago in 20 days and have kept it off all these years.I have fluctuated within 5 lbs either side of the scale(168-173) I am now at 164 from 173.This time around is a bit harder since my carb levels have been on the lower end already for a long time.I think If I can get a handle on the diet I can do this..with exercise this time though.I am single live in Brantford Ontario Canada.I have three children all grown and three beautiful Grandbabies..I want to be around for a really long time...HEALTHY!!!..oh and HAPPY!!! Good luck to all of you never be afraid to ask for help or an ear to listen.

Atkins stall/gain
I just noticed LoneStarGirls post and yes I have found that has happened to me ...lose then seem to gain "overnight!" but I lost inches and in the earlier version of the Atkins book it tells us that when the fat is being lost some of the fat may be replaced with water that will go away...so even if we aren't losing pounds ..if you measure you will likely see that you have lost inches..You are doing a fine job ..keep up the great work!

Calling All Atkins Induction Folks...
Congrats on losing 4 lbs it's a start!!..Learning induction is the first step to reaching your goal..and yes I sometimes feel that I need to make myself eat and I find it hard to get enough net carbs because of that.I think the fact that we aren't as hungry is likely why.I am losing slowly though and feeling better about the diet that I chose...Atkins does work.Good luck to you!

Hmm?
I weigh myself nearly every time I go in the bathroom to pee the tonnes of water I'm drinking ,,I hate my scale so I think I will move it to my neighbours house and ask them to not let me in to use it.
