**A BIT OF MOTIVATION **

Once again, it's time to play the discipline game. I went to bed so excited to go to the gym again after a whole week off, but I'm just not feeling it yet this morning.

Results require actions though. Gonna spike my insulin here for the pep and go lift some heavy stuff.

Discipline truly is a consistent CHOICE: to do what needs to be done regardless what the motivation is doing. If I relied on motivation alone, there'd be days where nothing gets done.

In order to achieve goals, we need to put in the effort without wavering. "No pain, no gain" is a true statement.

Effort produces results.

Compromise creates delay.

Decisions that are geared towards our goals are the only choices we should make.

I want it. Time to go get it. It's not gonna happen overnight, but every day, each tiny step is one in the right direction. No slip-ups. Just pressing forward with the goal constantly in mind.

It seems distant and impossible sometimes, but I've stopped looking at the present. I'm seeing the past pictures and measurements of where I came from to see how I've changed so far.

Remember that the present is gone the moment you think about it. Time to live in the future!

And once the adrenaline rush of motivation wears off, discipline will carry you through if  you CHOOSE to apply it!

What keeps me going are habits. I don’t allow myself not making sure I control portions. Cause I am in love with the end result

Great post. Get to work people. This is the time of year when people lose focus. Do work now so by next summer you're at or near goal instead of beating yourself up for not starting sooner!

Great post. Sometimes it is SO hard to get up and go to the gym, but I ALWAYS feel GREAT afterwards. I remind myself of that each time, but it is still an 'effort'.

@chrisw77 - When my shirt is drenched with sweat after doing a set of squats or deadlifts I then 'remember' "Oh yeah! THIS is why it is worth it!" - - Building strength, A feeling like no other :)

Great words! You are right, if we want to achieve our goals, we have no choice — we have to work and work hard. I needed such post. I knew it, but I needed to hear it once again. Thank you!

Action creates motivation - and yep we have to want it bad enough to get up and go do it! I went kayaking - not the same as the gym, but it's outside and may be the last time this year we get out...
