Spent the weekend at the Cottage in Muskoka - probably one of the most beautiful places in the world. Hot summer days, 80 degree, deep, fresh water lake. White Pine trees as far as the eye can see. The group entertained my eating choices, rolled their eyes at my decline of the sweet corn on the cob, but all in all respected my choices. Interesting to see how I used to eat vs. now, and the blessing of the choices not being that hard as long as that sugar stays out of my veins! (ie, no scones, no toast, no blueberry pie, no bun with the burger, no quinoa salad). Lots of other great stuff though, veggies, salad, meat and cheese, eggs. Also, no booze/wine, etc lots of sparkling water with lemon. It was a great weekend. Weight stayed the same. My portions were not shy, but my choices were AWESOME! Way to go me! If my American friends want to see something really pretty, a nice distraction from food - Google: The Group Of Seven and scroll through the images :)
