GI diet
Hi Rochelle— I read a couple of your posts. You are in a tough spot. Regarding the keto diet situation— I do not do keto myself but I know a little bit about it. Because this diet has been recommended to you because of a serious medical issue I would suggest you contact him again and request a consult with a dietician. Also, if you have a computer or a tablet or a phone that has a screen bigger than a postage stamp, do some research on Ketodiets from a couple different sites and Google sample Keto diet meals. There are so many sites out there that I think could be helpful to you. Many people here are on very high fat diets— that is what you need some clarification on. What is YOUR DOCTOR’s idea of a keto diet. I hope this helps.

Pizza substitute
I also make my own pizza sauce and freeze in ice cube trays. One cube for one pita round. Green/red peppers thinly cut and and yellow onion thinly cut. Mozzarella cheese and chopped black olives which I rinse to help reduce the hefty salt content.

How can I get exercise in?
I don’t know what kind of a TV/cable situation you have where you live, but ours has no end of exercise programs on usually in the early AM. Check yours, record and do when convenient. Ours have exercises for every level of activity you can image, seated, yoga, Pilates, killer active, disability, etc. check it out.

Option to add calories instead of a specific food?
I use a food scale and most things I weigh in grams. Irregularly shaped things like blackberries and nuts are more accurate that way. It’s also easier to measure light weight things like spinache using grams. I have noticed that grams comes up more often now as an option.
