New Out Look
FYI— “real” black licorice like what is made and eaten in Germany, Sweden, etc. can raise your blood pressure significantly. The stuff we eat here, aka “twizzlers” and the like, not so much. So if blood pressure is an issue for anyone just be aware

Another invite for old-timers
Hi syl— there are a few older people here. I’m 70. I’m not dieting, just monitoring my nutrition and have for many years. Trying to stay as healthy as possible. Glad to see your post. Staying consistently active and keeping those calories under control is a good thing. Some of the diet types that people are doing here may be ok when you are younger but older people often need a little more oversite because of meds, changing body needs, etc. our body chemistries can get out of whack much more easily.
Good to see you
