When people think it’s hard to lose weight 😆 boy it’s just the beginning of the journey 🙃😳😝😭

@rosio19 - Yes, this past week of 'maintenance' is the hardest I have ever 'worked' physically :)

50 pounds!!!! My little 4 pound weights seem so puny by comparison. Goals!

SoCalPam you will get stronger, I started with the two pound ones haha, now I lift the 5 and 10 , but I am ready for 8 and 12 .

I was just thinking about breaking out the free weights the other day.

Maintenance - the final frontier!

I don't think I'll ever be in maintenance. Bulk then cut. I have to chase that carrot, even when building more muscle as a natural is futile, I have to try. :)

@Diablo360x - I am with you on that one. I had hoped I could just hover around a certain weight, but it appears that at least I need to bulk to 180 and then cut back to 160 continuously. This is what 'maintenance' is to me.

I like the weights because the constant effort to get stronger keeps it interesting, so you don't switch to less healthy habits.

@SoCalPam - I am only using the 50s for deadlifts for now.

Amen to that.

@TomLong - I agree. Weights are 'hard work' but, 'more interesting'. Weight training is a 'positive goal' that (so far) produces fast results.

@SoCalPam, you will get stronger! I started with 5 pounds and I now use 15# and 20# for most reps, altho for a select few, I still have to use 10#. I also now have a weight bar (it's only 12 pounds) that I have 16# worth of plates (28# total) that I use for dead lifts, chest and when I'm doing squats and lunges. I'm slowly working my way up!

having the equipment at home doesn't ensure that you use it. save the expense and go to the gym

@LSG417 - Thanks for that info on your weight program, because you have the pictures to prove that it works!

@ussalpacas - Yes, to do the workouts like they suggest in the YouTube videos I need such an array of equipment I really feel I have no choice but to join a gym...
