Fried Cheese Sticks

Mozzarella fried cheese sticks with pork skins.



  1. In a medium bowl, mix pork skins, parmesan cheese, garlic powder and pepper; set aside.
  2. Whip the egg in a small bowl. Dip the cheese sticks in the egg, then roll them in the pork skin mixture, making sure they're evenly coated. Place coated sticks in the freezer for 1 hour. (30 minutes minimum).
  3. Heat about 2 inches of oil in a deep skillet until very hot.
  4. Deep fry the sticks until the coating is golden brown.
  5. Serve with ranch dressing or low carb marinara sauce.

aha...this sounds awesome--just did pork skin coated pork chops....totally filled my taste for something crunchy!

This was yummy! IN case some people don t know pork skin is available in stores and named pork rinds.

I loved this! They didn't even need sauce! I will use porkskins for fried zuchini now - I had no idea it would be so good.
