This recipe sounds great. I don't understand the bacon part. 2 thick slices, packed 12/lb bacon. Please let me know cause I really want to cook this recipe.
Thank you, dharper 1

How much water do I add to the crock pot to make this stew?

Hi guys,
I just saw these messages.
dharper - it's two thick slices of bacon.
xx_victoria - I don't add any water but your crockpot may be different from mine, so you may need to add a small amount of water.

Doesn't make a very good "STEW", but I will make it again and use it a Philly Cheese Steak filling.

Haven't made yet but if the consistancy is like Philly Cheese Steak filling, I'd put it into a crescent dinner roll braid...

Pretty darn good - I had to do mine in a regular old soup pan, but Just added a little more water and it was fine. Also added some dried parsley and basil. Topped with a dollop of sour cream...yum!

I added alot of fresh vegetables, kale, red pepper, carrot, celery, and can of corn, can of mushrooms, can of tomatoes, then seasoned with parsley, basil, oregano, bay leaves, thyme, fresh garlic, left out the bacon (too many calories)! YUMMMMYYYYYYY
