Am a 42 year old New Zealander. We have just been through a major disaster with a 7.1 earthquake in our city, followed by a killer 6.3 aftershock which destroyed so much of our city and turned our lives upside down.

If you pray, please pray for our city. It is tough right now living here.

I love the food on Atkins, and I love the energy it gives me. I don't lose weight easily but I am definitely noticing that I am getting slimmer, and I feel much happier about my body. Of course I have a long way to go! LOL

Since I wrote the above I had a surprise baby (only knew the last six weeks!) and had my thyroid removed and they found cancer. What a mixed up year!

Need a friend! I have so many questions
With the omega 3 question, we usually get way too much omega 6 - more than we need esp if consuming seed oils or nuts... I would stick to supplementing with omega 3 or having lots of oily fish.

any people who are not tempted?
I am not tempted at all. I know what damage wheat/gluten and carbs do to my body, and I never want to be back there again. When my husband eats crappy junk food it does make me hungrier just hearing the crunch, but I still don't crave the actual food. I have low carbed for well over a year now without cheating, and am in the 3rd week of the leptin reset and the not snacking between meals has helped even more.

coconut oil
My husband and I put it on our feet LOL. It is great for getting rid of pesky fungal infections and makes your feet nice and soft....

Atkins
Google Linda Sue recipes, or cleachatra - they are both awesome and will help you with variation.

Over Daily Crabs under Veggie Carbs??
I totally agree with Smoked and hkaruga. A carb is definitely a carb. I would have some protein and fat if you are hungry still. Tomorrow is another day Smile
