I'm 38 and I weight 183 pounds. I have been putting on weight the past year and my last weigh in at the doctors office was the last straw. It was time to do something about my weight.
I love to write, bake and crochet. I have three children ages, 7,8,17. I have been married to my hubby 10 years this past Dec. 31st.
Two years ago I had lower back surgery. They went threw my stomach and pulled out two disks. They then turned me over and cut six inches to replace those disks and add a few screws and posts. The surgery was a sucess, but because they waited so long to do the surgery, I ended up losing 50% of the sensations in my right leg. So every step I take I have to think about lifting my leg. I have managed to embarass myself many times by falling at the feet of a total stranger because I was in a hurry.
I have been over weight most of my life. As a kid I heard every joke you can think of, being a teenager wasn't much fun either. But those are days gone by and my family loves me big or little. I want to lose weight because I need to, I have metal in my back that doesn't like the extra weight and a family I want to be their for. So slip ups or not, I will do this for me!
Well I slipped up big in 2008 and put all the weight I lost right back on. I am here with a new motto and a better out look!
