Hello Yellow Lamborghini's!! I am so excited about our team that I've actually changed up my home picture to be our mascot car!!! Smile Say hello to our Yellow Lamborghini!

I wanted to start with a little bit of history on the Lamborghini and give us a quote from one of my favorite coaches, Vince Lombardi (I'm originally from Wisconsin and bleed green and gold for the Packers)!!

I wanted to start out with a bit of history so that when we have challenges and trivia, we know some tips about our own car and it's heritage and can have some fun!! So here it goes.....

Origin
As told by Ferruccio Lamborghini's son, Ferruccio Lamborghini went to meet Enzo Ferrari at the Ferrari factory to complain about the quality of the clutch in his Ferrari 250 GT[3]. An infuriated Enzo Ferrari sent him away telling him to go drive his tractors because he was not able to drive cars. Lamborghini went back to his factory to have the Ferrari's clutch dismantled and found that the clutch in the Ferrari was a product of the manufacturer who supplied the clutches used in Lamborghini tractors. Lamborghini installed a stronger clutch from his factory's warehouse into his Ferrari and solved the clutch failure.

Furious with Enzo Ferrari's arrogant and aloof manner, Ferruccio Lamborghini promised himself he would never own another Ferrari and would beat Ferrari at his own game by creating a superior sports car of his own.

Born under the sign of the Taurus, Ferruccio Lamborghini used the bull as the badge to mark his new automobile.

The Lamborghini 350GTV prototype was introduced at the 1963 Turin Auto Show.

Now for the quote! I am so excited for our team and know that no matter what happens, we are going to be winners in this challenge! So to start us off, here is what Vince Lombardi has to say about winning:

Winning isn't everything, but wanting to win is.
Vince Lombardi

I'll sign off for now but make sure you accept my invite to be my buddy and keep an eye out for this post, I will be adding lots of fun things to it along the way for our team! I know we can do it, good luck!! And let me know how things are going!

Whew, I should really be in bed right now, it's 12:42a.m. here in cold Minnesota!! But I'm too excited to reach out to you guys with some encouragement and a few words this, the morning of our first weigh in!!!

I just read an article that had some tips about weight loss. One of the things it mentioned was that everyone should reward themselves for reaching small goals along the way!

So how about I throw out a small challenge for us to get us started?!? I think it would be a great idea for us to set some small goals each week for ourselves with a small reward at the end of the week when we reach them to celebrate! Now, it doesn't have to be a weight goal, it can be any healthy goal that will aid us in our weight loss! For example, I'm having a heck of a time staying away from diet soda (Diet Coke used to be my daily friend in the morningLaughing). So a goal for me for the week might be to not touch any pop throughout the week with the reward being a night at the movies with my boyfriend.

So think of what your mini goal for the week might be and feel free to share with all of us on this post!

My goal for the week is going to be NOT to eat anything after 7pm at night (I'm a terrible night time snacker!). When I reach my goal, I'm going to reward myself with purchasing a movie!! Now I've got to look up and find out what movie I might want! Smile

Have a great night everyone! Remember to add me as your buddy if you haven't already and to send me your start weight by noon tomorrow!

Thanks,
Sarah

Helllloooooo everyone!

Looking forward to the challenge?? I'm revving up and ready to go!

I'm on dial-up until monday (broadband server forgot to re-connect me when we moved house 4 weeks ago - rubbish stupid people) so I'm just logging in to give my weigh-in for the start of the challenge!

I've got to dash now because I'm going into London to meet a friend whom I've not seen since we left High School and I'm very excited!

Good luck everyone!

My personal challenge is two-pronged:

eat when I am hungry
don't eat when I am not hungry

I will reward myself with a trip to the beach. But I still owe myself a trip to the beach and a mini-trampoline from meeting a previous exercise challenge, so maybe I'd better get on those things today! Very Happy

GOOD MORNING TEAM!
I read your post last night Sarah Su and I was stumped on a challenge for myself. I finally figured it out and I'm going to add 30 minutes to my work out! I'm still not sure on my reward, but if I manage to stick to it, the biggest reward to me would be losing another few pounds!

Actually you should eat something (mostly protein) between dinner and going to bed if you want to keep your metabolism burning - it's calories in/calories out not matter what time you eat! At least according to my doctor and my personal trainer. I usually enjoy a whey protein shake with one tbs peanut butter - and call it a dessert!

My goal for the week is to not be off my diet while on my business trip this week - I'll be gone from Sunday to Wednesday. (I'll still have my computer though!)

I booked a hotel room with a fitness center and my room has a full kitchen it so I'll be stopped at a store to get food to make instead of going out!

***********************************************************************
I started at over 200 lbs. I lost 50 lbs in 2008! I want to lose 25 or 30 in 2009 and be at goal!

Wow, thanks to all of you who have given yourselves a mini challenge or two for the week! I know that it's only Sunday night but I have good feelings about our week up ahead! We can do great things as long as we stick together and keep ourselves motivated!

I thought I would add a bit of inspiration to the start of our work week ahead!!

Motivation is what gets you started. Habit is what keeps you going.
Jim Ryun

According to an article I read, it takes at least 21 days to form a new habit! So you need to do something at least 21 times for it to become part of your daily routine.

We will be doing this challenge for 6 weeks or 42 days! In that amount of time, we should be able to really reinforce and form 2 long term habits! So with our mini weekly goals, think of the long term, daily habits you want to really focus on. How cool would it be to have two new healthy habits by the end of this challenge!! SO AWESOME!!!!

Have a really fabulous week everyone! I'll be checking in all the time and doing some fun things on here so stay tuned. And if there is anything you would like to see or discuss, let me know and I'll get things rolling for sure!

Ta ta for now!

Hello everyone!!

Happy Tuesday!! It's day number two of our overall challenge and I wanted to share with you how exciting it is to see so many people getting out there and finding great recipes to share! We currently have between 5 and 6 points for our team so if you have any additional recipes, please make sure to post them on the other post so we get credit for the team!

Here is a little quote to get us going for the evening and into Wednesday!

"No matter who you are, no matter what you do, you absolutely, positively do have the power to change."

~Bill Phillips~

I thought this was so cool because it's so true! We all have the power to change our habits, eat better, exercise more and be healthier all around. With the help and support of our team members, we can really do this!

Please keep in touch when you can and let us all know how you are doing! We are all a team and here to help so keep us posted!

Have a fabulous Wednesday everyone!!!
