performance: losing 0.6 lb a week
Former fitness nut turned mother of two (6 year old and 1 year old). Trying very hard to get back to having energy to be ready for anything from a tough mountain bike ride to a piggy back ride for the kids.
Before my kids, I was a bit of an athlete. I ran a marathon, a few half-marathons, mountain bike racing, triathlons, and a few 24 hour-type races. It was a big shift in my lifestyle when my first child was born. I admit, I accepted the weight gain I experienced at that time as being 'part of life' after having a child.
But, I got on FS and lost the weight. I learned to track food again and gain that control back.
Then I had my second child. I committed to a more healthy weight gain through that pregnancy and it has paid off. But not without the help of FS again.
However, life is crazy-busy chasing after these two and keeping up with their schedule. With very little 'me' time, I mostly use my lunch hour to work out. It's a limited time period, but forces me to give it all for 30 minutes.
I miss my days of running and biking. My husband still loves to get out and run and bike, so my goal is really to just get and keep my fitness level up so that I'm ready to go too when the opportunity arrives.
I'm not the me I was 10-15 years ago...but I'm determined to be better than I was 10-15 years ago.
