My name is Rhoda. I'm from the Chicago area. I moved to Tucson to go to college many many years ago... and I stayed here.
Now married to a healthy younger man.
I'm a new Granny, thanks to my son who's now in the Navy. He's living with his new wife and daughter on the East Coast. I have a beautiful 18 year old daughter. I hope she decides to join this site too.
I've had a problem with my weight since I was about 8 years old. My parents and friends encouraged me to lose weight. I'm not quite sure why I was never totally successful in getting down to an ideal weight. I've probably dieted as many times as years I am old- 51.
I've always enjoyed exercising. When I was younger I used to swim, play softball, tennis etc. I've always enjoyed dancing. Disco, Ballroom and now ZUMBA.
Somehow, I've always managed to maintain a pretty fluffy shape. This is due to my love affair with food.
Looking at myself in the mirror; I realize that I could easily win a contest: "flabbiest arms". I don't want to be known for that!
I really want to live a healthier lifestyle and improve my appearance.
I welcome all help! I will be happy to be there for you too!

A tablespoon of Honey before I go to bed. Put honey in my coffee instead of Sweet and Low. Eating what I want but cutting down on quantity.
