Start Weight

Lost so far: 18.0 lb

Current Weight
179.0 lb
Performance: losing 0.7 lb a week

Goal Weight
125.0 lb
Still to go: 54.0 lb
I started my journey in January 2009 at 194.8 pounds. I had a successful '09 losing 35.8 pounds. But by September '09 I let my surroundings take back over and the weight crep back up. I yo-yo'd for a long while. I came back first of the year to FatSecret, only to not really get back into it again. November 2010 I am back, I am taking back control of my life, starting the workouts again, eating healthy.

My graph is misleading because when I started my "new diet" in July of just calorie counting it reset my starting weight to 179. I want to be able to see that original 194.8 so it looks misleading like I have lost 16 pounds since July, but in reality I have lost 16 pounds since January 2009 becuase of gaining back weight I had previously lost.

I am wife and mother of two wonderful boys, ages 8 and 3. My husband and I have a lovely home on 121 acres, plenty of room to roam and enjoy! I want to get my body in shape so that I can run and play with them with out having to catch my breath!!

I am 5'3" so my healthy weight range according to that stupid BMI that all health care and life insurance companies look at (and rate you on), is between 109 - 137. I am shooting for somewhere mid range. I will adjust accordingly. I do not want to look so thin people think I am sick. I like have some meat on my bone, I just don't need as much as I have currently :)

HCG Weight Loss Products Are Fraudulent Says FDA
The HCG is what everyone is recommending to me to do, except my doctor. I even asked him on Friday about it. Friends have family or friends on it and they lost tons of weight. However I remind myself that my boss' daughter did it several years ago, lost a ton of weight and put it all back on. I too wonder if there is something to the HCG or its all a hox. To me, if I only at 500 calories a day I would think I would lose overtime as well. I am looking for that magic answer too, but I just don't think its out there unfortunately. The HCG doctors are making a fortune though. Just for the initial visit is $750. Then you have the monthly shots/cream to purchase. I would rather lose my weight and take the money and buy new clothes!

Need a good 15 to 30 min workout
30 Day Shred is great. It is intense, but you feel great afterwards and can really shed the weight and inches if you stay faithful to it. I have started a new workout this year, Biggest Loser Last Chance Workout. It is closer to 35 minutes with Warm up/Cool Down. It can build to a 55 minute workout overtime, but you can stick to just the 30-35 minutes if that works best in your schedule. It has a lot of the Shred moves, but it is broken into 6 segments and they are designed like circuits, with you doing each move for 30 seconds, then changing. You alternate between strength and cardio moves. I was a huge fan of Shred but this one is my 2nd favorite!!
