I've been a fitness instructor for over 20 years. I teach aerobics/aqua/pilates/bodyART/... classes. Am currently also filling in as assistant fitness coordinator at my gym.

Busy schedule! At this point in my life (54), I realize the importance of balance :-) Making time for ME = me being better for the important people in my life.

Last May I entered a fitness competition. The training/nutrition componet was very, very hard BUT I stuck with it. What was interesting was trying to balance AFTER it was over. I wanted to EAT all the time and gorge on food. So trying to re-balance has been difficult, but I'm on the right track now!

my thoughts on the recipes entered are that they should be leaning towards the 'healthy' side. Unless we are interpreting 'fatsecret' to mean something other than working towards a healthy lifestyle?

A recipe with 1 cup of whipping cream is NOT a recipe that I'd make whilst trying to lose weight!
