I try to enjoy life and keep a positive attitude. Right now, I'm trying to lose some weight I've put on over the last few years. My weight has always gone up and down depending on diet and exercise, and I've been eating too much of the wrong kinds of food.

I'm open to being buddies with anyone, so if you want, just let me know.

mid night sacking ?
There's nothing wrong with snacking at night. Pigging out is a different story, regardless of time of day. You are eating for two, so you need to make sure you are getting enough nutrition, and if you are so hungry that your stomach hurts, then you need some food. Rather than waiting until your stomach hurts, you might try eating a light meal right before going to sleep. Include some protein, fat and carbs, according to your diet, to supply your body with what it needs to produce milk.

I hope you and your baby are doing well, when you read this.

Looking for:
I saw your post about needing help and thought I'd respond, since I could use some myself. I used to be a vegan and am having trouble getting back into it. The first time, it was easy. Now I'm having cravings.

How about you? Tell me about yourself.

peanut butter nutty buddy
Ah, peanut butter, spread on dried apricots, then dipped in instant coffee, topped with a sprinkle of shredded coconut and a dab of honey -- my favorite high school late-night treat.

Actually, anything with peanuts in it tastes good to me. Or, anything with nuts of any kind, whether raw, roasted, salted, unsalted. Hmmm, I just bought a pound of fresh ground organic peanut butter. Maybe I'll eat that for dinner. I can spread it on celery sticks and carrots, then describe it as a chopped salad with peanut dressing in my food log.

Glad I'm not the only one with a thing for peanuts.

Getting enough fat on Atkins
There are many kinds of oils. Adding unhealthy oils isn't going to help your health or help you lose weight. How is your general health and how old are you? You might look at some healthy fat web sites, such as

and

All the best,

solo mission
I'm glad you got so many supportive responses. If you want someone who will just be there for you, that's me. Losing weight can be hard. I'm pretty much on my own, too. No close family or friends to support me. I just try to stay true to my own heart. In this case, that means reaching out to you. Hang in there.
