I am a 40 year old married mother of two wonderful boys. I started this diet on July 12th. Today is August 27th and I have lost fourteen pounds. I am a nurse and have been staying home with the kids for the last two years. I got a new job and I start back to work Monday, August 30th. I'm anxious to see how working long hours again affects my diet.

July 30th Measurements; chest-38in, waist-30in, hips-38in

August 1st, waist 29in, lost an inch!!!!!

August 18th, waist 28 in, lost another inch!!

Do you eat foods you don't like just because they're healthy?
I love celery too, but I don't know anyone else who does. I don't eat anything I don't like either, I think that would make healthy eating so much harder.

Still hungry
I myself usually eat over 100 carbs a day, "good" carbs though, and I agree with Rich, they help my energy level, and I'm still losing weight. Low fat, high carb has always worked better for me than the low carb diet. To each his own, everybody's body is different.

Buying a new scale- affordable suggestions?
Thanks for the post about wal-mart scales. I need to get a new one that measures pounds and ounces, mine doesn't, Mine is digital but only gives you a whole number, so you don't know if you've lost a half of a pound or part of a pound. I'm gonna get a new one this week.
