I have been a fat kid, fat teen, and fat adult. Yup, fat all my life. I used to be upset about my weight when in high school, but I somehow got over it, and as I entered my 20s, the weight never was a problem for me, in fact I was all for loving your body for what it is, and I was comfortable the way I was. Recently however, I started feeling lethargic and my legs started aching. I have let myself go over the last 2 years especially by partying too much, consuming everything and the kitchen sink, and not to mention the alcohol consumption, and I believe that lifestyle was getting to me. I started on this website after I decided to make a lifestyle change, for my health, and to enter my 30s (in 3 months) healthy and fabulous. I need to maintain focus and motivation!

Not losing weight!
I have been eating well under my calorie limit over the last month... but have stalled at 55kgs for almost 2 weeks now. Yes, I did drop a whopping 4kgs in the first two weeks, but after that it's just come to a complete halt. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

What's the most you've put on after a month of letting yourself go?
Ha! Thanks all for your responses. Well, yeah, I think I could gain 2kgs in a week as well, super easily with a few days of "letting go."

The reason I asked the question is because I'm preparing myself to go home for the holidays - and I'll be home with family and friends for 3 weeks. I dread the weight I might put on after finally reaching my goal weight.

And there's no such thing as "eating healthy" at home, over the Christmas holidays.

Whenever I get a craving, I'll start putting in whatever it is I'm craving into the fatsecret calorie calculator - they usually scare me enough for the cravings to go away. Then I count my nuts (10 almonds = 70 cals), have just that and a huge glass of water, and I sometimes throw in a square of dark choc. It works, well, most of the time at least.

What's the most you've put on after a month of letting yourself go?
We often talk about how many pounds or kgs we can lose in a month, in a year, etc, but I'm sure most of us have at some point in our diets, fall off the wagon, or rather let ourselves go for some short periods of time, before starting over again.

Could you share what was the most amount of weight you have put on say in a month, when this happened?

I'm sure this would also serve as a motivation and show how easy it is to put on, and how hard it is to lose it back.
