Tried going it alone
I did this app before and fell off the wagon. It's worse than starting out again because I got fatter.
Congrats on your progress.

Tried going it alone
Have been trying to lose weight on my own and failed...bad.
Have just started back here after over a year off and not only did I not lose any weight but I put on about 20 pounds.

Most discouraging is that I am working out at least an hour a day hard.Rolling Eyes

I reward my hard workouts with food and beer and that has put my once lean body of 170lbs into a fat 232lbs as of yesterdaySad

Can't stop the night-time snacking!
Holy Beans!!! I was just googling about this. My problem (well one of them) is I wake up almost every night around 2:30AM and eat something like cereal or something around 300-400 calories and go back to sleep.
I have real hunger and if I don't eat, I don't sleep. When I get up 3-4 hours later I am not hungry and I get my workout in. For me it seems to work good since it doesn't take me over my daily calories.

PS, I don't go to be hungry and I don't starve myself during the day.
I really don't know if this is bad or good or unusual or should be a different topic?

Knee Pain
First, see a knee specialist. You may have something torn or damaged that can be fixed. Don't give up on working out but watch the intensity level and how long you train. Keep track of what triggers the pain, either movement or duration.
Your feet could contribute to your problems but start at the source of your pain. If it walks like a duck and sounds like a duck....
For anyone with joint pain from training you should use RICE Treatment,
Rest, Ice, Compression, Elevation.
Nsaids, like ibuprofin will work good as an anti-inflammatory for most people. Tylenol does nothing but mask your pain.

Good luck.

Is anyone else finding a new love for jogging?
Running rocks but don't add more than 10% distance a week to your schedule or you will invite injury. Cross train as much or more than you run. Biking or eliptical can help build your knees so they can take the pounding.
