I'm 34 and wanting to go from averge to superfit. I am here to get inspired and to inspire others to eating healthy and active.
:)

I suppose I should let you know exactly what I have done to validate myself to all those that seek me out.

My heaviest weight was 221 lbs @ 5'6 1/2" and medium bodyframe I was a size 16. I decided after a quiet but heartbreaking divorce to lose the weight and get fit. I began with this program:
Dr. Abravangel's body type and diet for liftime weight loss program. I was a thyroid (which fit perfectly for me, cause my thyroid was burnt out because of all the stress). I lost over 60 lbs and have maintained that over the last 2 years. I have gone up and down about 10 lbs based on how closely I followed the program. Well, this year I decided that I wanted to finally drop the these last 30 lbs.. I am comfortable where I am at (I wear between a 6-8 depending on cut and size M to S shirt).

But, that to me is just "average" I want to break beyond that barrier and get down to about 13-15% bodyfat (right now I am 26%).

So, I started in April-May Paleo eating and Crossfit it helped me get down about 10lbs..but, I noticed that my body wasn't responding to 1. fruit 2. nuts 3. tons of fat. So, I have chosen to do a mix of PaNu/Primal/Body type and documenting my calories daily by using this program (Fat secret). The percentages will look like this 40/30/30 with protein being the highest and fat/carbs to be balanced and under 100 grams a day. Preferably around 50 keeping the carbs in this range will guarantee fatloss no matter what. But, this eating program will be fluid and I will change the percentages weekly based on previous weeks fatloss and measurements.

I am being serious..dead serious about this..consistency and dedication are the only ways to get these pesky 30lbs of "comfort weight" off.

Anyways, I look forward to hearing from any of you and being buddies with those that choose!!
Cheers!

Shake for dinner vs. lunch?
I have actually. And I liked it. By the morning time I felt thin and hungry but I felt like I lost some LBs by morning time Smile.

Carbs?
Hi!

I feel the best thing to do at the moment is just take a good hard look at your food logs. You know what you need to cut out from those logs. This is first and foremost in seeing what needs to be worked on for the next week.
Eating veggies is and one or two servings of fruit a day even with one serving of dairy won't cause your carbs to skyrocket. You can eat pounds of veggies and it will not adversely affect you.
Look at your logs, then cut out: any extra sugar, sweets or sugary fruits for a week and see how your logs look from there.

Back Fat and Bra Overhang
Hello SashaFierce!

Here is what I would recommend to get your back into 'fighting' shape for your wedding.

Cardio, cardio, cardio..increase your time by 15-30minutes on top of what you already do. Yes, you can split the sessions into two if you like.

Do 2 sets of 12-15 reps SuperSets of this:

Pullups
Low row

Barbell rows
lat pulldown close

1-armed Dumb-bell rows
Pullovers

The point is no rest between exercises and only 60-90 sec rests between sets of exercises.

This WILL work.
