I'm 26 and a little bit overweight. I don't really know how much I want to lose. I'm starting this journey and I'm interested in seeing how my body changes before I set a true goal.

I moved and started a new job in March so my goal was to kind of start anew in many areas of my life. I have a wonderful and supportive boyfriend who pushes me that extra step when we go to the gym, but also loves me just the way I am right now.

I have hypothyroidism so I have to work a little harder to see anything change which makes things a little frustrating. I'm hoping to find a new doctor near home that can provide a little guidance.

Good luck to everyone on reaching their goals!

New here and don't know too much about dieting, perhaps some help?
When I started doing this seriously a few months ago I weighed roughly the same weight as you and I'm 5'6". I've lost 7lbs so far, and I've been wondering why it goes so slowly. I'm active and I eat sensibly, but by calorie deficits each day just aren't that high. When you are fairly close to a goal weight, <20lbs or so, it's just harder to make it happen. I know I could eat less each day and be very vigilant about my RDI, but I choose not to because really I just want to be healthy and technically I already am at a healthy weight. At this point I want to lose weight mostly for vanity.

What plays the villain?
Cheese, definitely cheese.

Cabot Creamery makes this one that has chipotle peppers in it. It is so much better than any of the pepper jack cheeses out there. I could easily eat an entire 8 oz block of it and there go half of my calories for the day.

I love any sharp cheddars too. Yum!

Hot Yoga (Bikram Yoga)
I've gone about a dozen times and had a mix of reactions. Sometimes I love it and other times I've felt awful. Definitely make sure to drink a good amount of water before and during and definitely eat something at least two hours or so. One time I didn't eat much and I ended up with a horrible headache and felt very sick. Where I ho they tell you to go at your own pace and only do as much of each posture that you can do correctly. Trying to get into the end posture without the in between steps can be damaging.

I went because I had a discounted rate for ten classes and would love to continue due to the results I saw after only a short time but I feel it is too expensive on top of paying for a gym membership too.

What's in a name?
Mine is just my first and middle names. When I was younger I wanted to change my name so it was one like this because I thought Sara was too boring.

Supermarket Flow Chart
Not to be taken too seriously, but I came across this and thought it was pretty funny.
