This bio use to have a lot of self-pity and wallowing in it, so I have deleted it. The things to know are: (1) I am in my 30s and married to my college sweetheart. (2) I live the Washington, DC area (3) I am a competitive modern Olympic epee fencer and I LOVE running in half-marathons.

I joined FS in 2010 and since then I have lost 30 lbs, but more importantly - without actively trying to do much, I have kept it off for the last few years. I am looking for buddies who are active and can help keep me accountable.

Does anybody else hate shopping for pants/jeans?
I love pant shopping... finding tops is another matter. I have found both Old Navy and New York & Co have good jeans and pants for my size and shape.

You might also want to see if there is a Me-ality (http://www.me-ality.com/) at a mall near you. You step into the clear glass "fitting room" and they use a basically a microwave to measure you. It works using the amount of water in your fat verus muscles. Then they tell you what size you wear in a number of stores in the mall. For example, I wear a size 15 juniors in Bogo jeans from Sears, but a size 14 in American Eagle jeans and a 16 in dress pants at White House/Black Market. It's free and painless... really made me feel good!

Visiting the US- advice please!
If you are taking the Amtrak from New York to Florida, might I recommend at least a short layover in Washington DC. Union Station in DC is beautiful, has great shopping and if you walk out the front door of the station you can see the Capitol Building.

Body by Vi Challenge
So far, I have been adding it to juice and tea. I figured I would have tea anyway (0 calories) and the mix makes it sweet (so no sugar needs to be added). I might try it with coffee tomorrow.
