Ijust read my bio (below). Much has changed. No longer shooting insulin. I now have V-go, an insulin pump. It's more convenient than using the insulin pen, but I have gotten complacent abount carb counting and eating habits. What has changed in my bio? I'm older. lol
Now 71, was in wheelchair for a few months after a fall, now walking with rollator and PAIN. Truthfully I blame the pain on the weight gain. When starting here the last time, I had back pain that was getting close to stopping. Still married, still have my doggies and still living in "Independent Living" apartments. Hope this is my LAST "first day" of a diet. God bless. Kathry.
In 2016 I had a meningioma (brain tumor) and had it removed. Not as scarey as it sounds. After the hospital I spent time in a Nursing facility. It was an eye opener and I have been taking much better care of myself. Counting carbs has had the benefit of causing weight loss. I noticed this when my shoes and watch were too loose.

Mother of three great kids. Son Rob 46, musician (going to have twins this yr.) Son Bill 36, computer programmer and daughter Katie 38 who just became an RN.

I was Navy brat. Born in Philly, and am now in Southern CA. Lived in Gitmo for 5 yrs. Was there during the Castro takeover. Spent teen years in New Jersey on Long Beach Island. Career was crisis intervention and victim advocate.
