Current Weight

Performance: losing 0.4 lb a week

Goal Weight
220.0 lb
Still to go: 44.0 lb
This is my second major attempt at weight loss. In 2003 I got in to bodybuilding and lost 90 pounds in 7 months and kept it off for 3-4 years. I gained it all back plus more up to 330 at my most. See my pics for what I use to look like, what I blew up to and were I'm at currently.
My diet is simple calorie counting with a max calories of 1500. I maintain sanity by having a cheat day or two on the weekends and try to go no higher than 2000 if possible. I am not sticking to any particular diet plan just know the rules of 3500 cal equals a pound. And eating healthier food all around. I have been going to the gym 6 days a week with 30-45 of cardio every time I go followed 45 minutes of weight lifting and lots of water.
This time around I understand the whole concept behind calorie counting. Sticking to these rules alone I should be able to maintain my goal when I reach it. None of this would be possible if I didn't have the android app, makes counting so much easier. No way I would have the time to document all the calories I do now. Great tool.
Enjoy the ride!
11/11/11 UPDATE I'm down over 100 pounds now 227 and 15 inches off the waist from 55" in 8 months. I can now run a mile in under 10 minutes and I turn 31 this weekend. I am down to my 1998 high school football weight. Loving Life!!!!
02/14/12 UPDATE GOAL REACHED 111 pounds lost. I'm about 218 today but I'm not done yet I'm going for a rock solid 200 pounds now. I did not expect of today to get this obsessed with working out again, but it hasn't gotten old so I'm going to keep on pushing. I just changed my diet to high protein 200 gram goal , low carb 100gram max, calories will stay under 2000.
UPDATE 06/12/12 I'm 208 was down to 201. My waist is a size 34 and that's loose in some pants. Now let's get BIG! Weight loss phase is over, now it's muscle building time. New goal 225-230 solid weight.

WW points

It is not all that hard to figure out your points as was mentioned earlier. It really is a crutch anyway for what we all already know. Keep your calorie count low (I try to run at no more than 50-60% of RDI if I want to loose regularly and exercise hard 4X minimum per week), eat a lot of fiber and keep your fats to a minimum. Though WW has a patent on their formula, they really haven't invented anything new. How much would you pay per week to WW if all they told you was to eat 60% of your RDI then count calories? The points are like a lot of things in WW... they try to create a mystique around weight loss to keep you paying $13/week. I have tried it, on and off, for years and, if you suspend logic and go with the flow, the program works (I lost 40 lbs with it). If we can all get into a healthy eating pattern, we'll lose weight even without WW... the problem is really in the mind, not the body. (BTW... I have not been all that successful at getting my weight under control but I keep trying).

Explained it perfectly....

How Often Do you weigh yourself?
Every morning after first dump. My night time weight is always at least 2-4 pounds heavier than my morning weight. Recently things have been moving pretty well so if my night weight is where I want it to be the morning weight is usually a nice treat. Almost always predictable so far.
