I have 2 boys that I homeschool (one has graduated from homeschool and is attending community college now. So, I'm down to 2 boys homeschooling) and I work part-time at a Hospice. Been married almost 24 years to a wonderful man who does not have a weight problem, so I'm on my own, but he's very supportive. I am making a lifestyle change, diets do NOT work for long!

Hope to find some more buddies, a lot of mine haven't been on for 6 months or more.

Yoga
I had never done Yoga either and just got The Biggest Loser Workout Yoga DVD. You can customize it, has 3 levels and he has the actual contestants doing it. I enjoy it. I've tried a few others from the library, didn't like them as well, but at least they were free. I think I only paid 8 dollars for the Biggest Loser on Amazon though. Good luck, hope you find one you enjoy.

Buddy List
Whenever your buddies post something you will get a notification (up next to your weight, top of this page on the right, if you are on a computer). That way you can keep up with their journals etc and offer support/encouragement if you want. Or if you post on anything, i.e., forum, journal and someone posts after you it will send a notification. Makes it easier to keep track.

QUIT SMOKING
I quit over 16 years ago, best thing ever! I did the sugarfree gum and for the car I did Tootsie Pops (I know not diet friendly, but keeps hands busy in car, the worst time for me to not smoke). I only had one in the car so not too bad.

Oatmeal: Variations on a theme
I've never thought of the savory approach either. I usually do the sweet. Tablespoon of brown sugar, 2 tsp of cinnamon and some nuts (usually pecans)-for the crunch factor I think Smile I have never tried steel cut, only the rolled oats.
