Klynn82's Journal, 09 March 2018

Struggling a bit today. I had a rough night last night and its made me crave badly. I didnt sleep well, woke up grumpy, came to work grumpy, but got absolutely amazing news here at work. That helped, but you know those days where you just feel crappy and no matter how hard you try you just revert back to feeling crappy? Thats me today.

I brought lunch, but I want something else. I want a taco with the shell, I want a burger with the bun, but then I look at the shirt I am wearing, its 3 sizes smaller than the one I was wearing yesterday (that was unflatteringly too big, but I cant afford a new wardrobe, so I make do). I have come so far. I cannot let myself down like that. And yes, I know one tortilla will not kill me, but it will make me want one more. I am an addict and for right now, in the current mindset, I cannot allow just one. It would be more harmful than helpful.

I bought a new shirt for my sisters bachelorette party tomorrow, it will look super cute with my leggins that I stopped wearing and a cute pair of flats. I will post pics!! I am also making some appetizers. She is going to make tomorrow a cheat day, but I think I am going to stay strong. I dont feel like I can cheat just yet.

I saw on the Keto Subreddit today a guy who lost 150lbs in a year. He was 540lbs. That is such an inspiration to me. I am huge, I recognize that, but I also know that I can do this. I just have to fight through these days where all I want to do is stuff my fat little face with cake and cry over things I cannot control. I need to start walking more, getting outside. I think being indoors is killing me, I hate being cold and winter in Arkansas was not made for California babies!!!

Lord, grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change
Courage to change the things I can
and the wisdom to know the difference.

I hear ya! I get these days, too. But giving in won’t solve the stresses in my life—it will only make me mad at myself. You are doing such a great job—you can totally get to your goal. My dad always says “how do you eat an elephant? One bite at a time!” If you don’t stop you will get where you want to be!

Oh sweetheart, it's the weather. I knew even before I read the part about the weather. Crummy weather days make me want comfort food badly. Stay strong, that tortilla is not worth compromising how good you will feel if you don't eat it. Have so much fun at the bachelorette party! Can't wait to see pictures. Sending strength and love! You got this, you are Wonder Woman!

Hey Klynn, I'm hearing some positive things here -- you recognize that the shirt you have on is 3 sizes smaller than the one yesterday so because of it you are encouraged enough not to cheat because you want to stay the course. YAY!!! You are already planning out tomorrow -- you know there are going to be appetizers, but walking in there with your "super cute" shirt, your leggings and your flats, knowing you are going to be looking better than you looked in a while -- you are not going to sabotage yourself. You go girl!! Look at you making plans to stay the course. So what I'm hearing here are positive things. So what you're grumpy, we all get like that -- so what you are craving, we all get them too -- but what I'm hearing is you are seeing your future -- so girlfriend walk in your reality -- see your weight loss in your mind's eye and celebrate it. I look forward to seeing the outfit. Have a wonderful weekend. P.S. And you even walked 1 hour -- I'm still working my way up to it. Congrats

Very hard to find happy medium with others are not wanting to compromising on the food required to be eaten on the diet. I find I have to eat less finding myself very hungry very temped to eat more than my controlled portions.

you might try making alternative "tortillas" later. taro root, parsnip, etc. super thin slices, seasoned and lightly fried. it's a mouth feel thing sometimes.

You are doing great and I know you will stay the course. I hear you, it is hard when you feel crappy. M Scott Peck says that life is difficult but once you accept that, life gets easier....sounds like you are living that out! Kudos to you!

You're an amazing lady. Love your drive and determination. That's what's going to get you to your goal. Don't forget to enjoy your party tomorrow. Oh and if you want to get new clothes, consider Good Will. It gets a lot of people thru the losing stage. When you go to shop, don't forget to donate the clothes that are too big on you.

its funny you say you want the tortilla, and the bun not so much whats inside it. your waking stressed and cravin. sounds to me like you need a vitamin B boost. I always( try) to listen what my body is saying. like i wanted a nut covered choc donut bad!!! but i realized it wasn't the doughnut or the choc, it was the nuts i wanted, so i ate just them and it worked craving gone. That night i looked it up and discovered there rich in potassium, magnesium, iron . or maybe it the CRUNCH like Katsolo said. cause crunching relieves stress

Sending you best wishes and the strength to stay the course. Hopefully the fact that you are staying strong through the cravings will help you feel even better such as wearing the smaller shirt. It's those small victories that help keep you going.

I think everybody who fights the weight battle has lower days sometimes. Don’t let your surroundings or situations Ruin your life long journey for you and nobody else. Keep up the good work you can do this.

You're doing great! You focusing on making good descisions (not going for the tortilla) and recognizing the positive (oh so cute outfit ) is going to keep you on track and feeling good about yourself. Finding new and healthy ways to comfort and reward ourself is part of us learning self-care. I myself am counting the pounds lost until the day I will allow myself to eat a serving (or 2) of pinto beans. They're what I miss the most. Sending you love. ❤

That's the way! Just say no to one because it leads to more. You may want to go to a resale shop as you drop weight to find clothes when in between sizes. It is expensive to buy new for every loss. I saved a lot of money especially on pants.

Keep a Positive outlook, clearly you have a whole community of others supporting you! I hope you have a great rest of the day and weekend. I love the fact you've got religion tied to your lifestyle. Important and missing in the world today.... Phil. 4:13 was always my favorite which kept me going when times were tough.

Hang in there Klynn82. I just started using 'fatsecret.com' on Monday, (Doctors suggestion to lose weight). Lost 6 lbs in one week. My scale only knew how to go UP not DOWN. But I think the scale is correct. Really! We'll see. I'll let you know when I have grumpy morning too.

I am sorry you’re having a cranky day. I get those too. Where I just don’t want to have to care or worry about things like tallying my carbs or going to a certain store because they have more low or zero carb options for me to buy. But hang in there, drink some coffee or tea. Try to remember how far you’ve come and a small indulgence every couple of weeks won’t hurt. That’s what I have learned. I have hit another plateau this week and I was bitter and annoyed that I spend all of this money on super healthy low carb high fat options and then hit a plateau for like 10days now... so I ate French fries last night... and will start again today...

Order a steak with onions, hamburger no bun, salad, tomato , ranch , etc- The sugar makes you crave more sugar - No time now, but I'll share some ideas a little later - Thanks for the support - YOU CAN DO IT - Do the 45 day 30 pound challenge that I did - I'll help you if you got any questions -

It sucks the first couple of weeks. But if you stick to it and find your groove, you can do it. I have been on it since the end of January and I am still losing weight. There are days that I have to force myself, but the good news is that I am not hungry.

Boy, I know about crabby. Sometimes just talking about it helps. I want to have Buffalo Wings tonight for dinner so I Googled "best keto buffalo wings". Brought me to WickedStuff.com. Great recipes. While there I saw a recipe for Cheddar Wrapped Taco Rolls. Looked killer. I think they are tomorrow night's dinner. Check it out. ❤👍
