Ms Elizabeth's Journal, 07 February 2017

Today I have to start by saying that FatSecret has the most amazing group of people and most of them are my buddies. Some of them are my new buddies who have no idea what they just signed up for. Most of them did this to themselves voluntarily. Others looked like they knew what they were doing by posting info on their workouts and food and well.. they also had a picture of someone I'm assuming was them as their profile pic who well.. looked like they also knew what they were doing. I should probably apologize to these innocent people that accepted my friend invite... I should.. but I'm not. lol

Today is a much different day. Yesterday I went home, cuddled with the kids, cuddled with my calves, was absolutely amazed when a sick calf that was born two days ago finally stood (still don't know if it will make it but we've been saying it isn't going to make it for 2 days now and he's proving us wrong), I was so happy and grateful to the husband going the extra mile on a bull calf just to make me happy that I proceeded to grab the husbands butt anytime he made the mistake of bending over.. he looked amused for a while then threatened to dump me in the manure spreader, the boys on the other hand thought this was hilarious and are now spanking their father anytime he bends over.

Then.. after the boys were asleep I kicked the butt of any anxiety I was still feeling. Amazing fact.. when on the elliptical blasting music on your earbuds, singing off key in a loud whisper so you don't wake the tiny monsters doesn't allow a lot of energy left to throw a pity party. Heck I even threw in some planks again and found out that my bedroom carpet smells like dog farts and popcorn.. at the same time. It's motivating to not drop in the middle of a minute... I still dropped after 40 seconds on the 3 sets but it was motivating. Oh and.. somewhere I read that planks are all mental. If you make your mind believe it you're supposed to be able to hold out longer. Bull POOP. Unless my mind is in my butt.. that shakes before it sends the message to the rest of my body that it suddenly wants to be up close and personal to the smell of dog fart/popcorn scented carpet.

Today I need a walker... but I'm planning on writing up a new routine to stick with and rotate through for workouts. Maybe if I focus on getting healthier and keep stalking new people on fatsecret.. and keep annoying ya'll.. and finally get back to a comfortable weight where I feel cute... Maybe then the funk will pass once and for all. Any suggestions for an at home workout routine?

Rock On! YouTube has lots of free workout ideas. Throw in some weight lifting (children, strollers, hay bales) and you will be golden!

OMG I was in stiches with the dog farts & popcorn!!! Anyway, I say the best exercise for anyone is walking at a steady pace for about 30-45 mins. I found out that just a 30-45 mins walk at 2-3 miles per hour burns a good 150-200 calories. Not a lot but sufficient amount to help. I'm 46 yrs old and have cancer and bad knees so I watch what I do and I love walking. I also use light weights to tone my muscle as I lose weight. So don't get discourage you'll find that right exercise for you. Not everyone's idea's or routine is going to work for another... God Bless!!! HOOAHH!!!

Ah, the winter blues that you fought through and are rocking it by working out and slapping your hubby's butt. That burns calories too! Check out pinterest for some at home workouts. I found some good ones there that just require some free weights and a timer. And there are others that just have reps.

I also use you tube to inspire my work out. Currently I do yoga and love it. It could also possibly be quiet comical to watch the littles attempt it.

Love your journal. Incidentally, I think dogs paws smell of popcorn. They wonder what I am up to when I sniff them, but i LOVE the smell, and its Low Carb... LOL!!!

Fitnessblender.com is fantastic for at home workouts. I'd highly recommend you check it out. All the videos are free, so you can pick and choose how you want to assemble your own week and pay absolutely nothing. If you want extra guidance on which videos to do to reach certain goals, you can buy a plan for like $10-$15 that will tell you which videos to do on which days for 30 days.

This talk of dog paws is cracking me up. After waking with Sarge's paws shoved up my nostrils more often than not, I think his smell like Fritos! 🐕

Went to the mall with my daughter in law. Had lunch and walked 6,000 steps. Sun is shining and I feel better too!

Fritos! They definitely smell like Fritos! I feel a little silly when I sniff them, but it just amazes me. One more reason I love my dog! I personally find I like the Biggest Loser brand video workouts from the NBC show. They are tough, but work, and you can vary the intensity to your level.

Haha....I do know why my dogs are not allowed anywhere near the bedroom!!! Check livestrong.com or the bodycoach out. They are all bodyweight exercises and NO extra equipment needed. Glad the baby bull is making progress :)

I thought about it... but there is no way I am sniffing my dogs paws. We live on a farm.. they live on a farm.. farms have lots of poop in places where we and the dogs walk.. nuff said.

LOL...agreed! I don't sniff their paws voluntarily, for sure! Great job on the workouts :D

I like this kettlebell workout when I can't get to the gym...it really does make you sweat, and you're done in 30 minutes. And only one kettlebell necessary. I think you could probably sub a dumbbell if necessary. http://www.womenshealthmag.com/fitness/kettlebell-exercises-0
