Happy New Week, my Best Buddies:
Exercise is consistent. I will be going to New York to visit relatives Wednesday and already have the gym lined up there so I can stay on track.
My nutrition has been up and down...when I get back from the visit, I will need to review my food choices and calories. I am up to about 164 on the Idiot Boxes and not happy about it. I am trying to maintain and build muscle while introducing some carbs...but my gain is not all muscle!
It is a delicate balance! And, Let's Go Red Sox!

Have a great time in NY and enjoy relatives and the meals .......then work like crazy at the gym... I did well this weekend did not overdo food....... But had one meal out at Chinese restaurant and it was very salty. Maybe because I don't add salt to my cooking any more ..... Water today.

If you've been lifting weights consistently for over a year, I suspect you've hit your ceiling in building muscle. I've found that the only way to get rid of the outside fat covering up the beautiful muscle is to cut back on the lifting and instead focus on daily cardio. Women's bodies can get really cut just by sticking to situps/crunches & pushups (speaking from experience).

@SSS: I do HIIT for cardio. Cardio is not necessary though for the plan I am following. Everything I read says HIIT is best.

HIIT sounds great, and even more so if you really enjoy it. Just take my suggestion as something to try if you ever hit a plateau and need to shake things up. I dropped 5 pounds in one week when I got stuck for 2 months by changing my cardio to 4 days/week and dropped my lifting to just 1 day.

We go to Liberty NY which is southern Catskills...then to Yankee Stadium to see MY RED SOX play the Yankees..,

ALL my relatives are Yankee fans...is you know anything about the rivalry...it is vicious! So, I go all decked out in my Red Sox clothes, earrings, shoes, purse...LOL
