Weight loss doesn't happen on a linear basis, though we would like it to! So no need to be concerned about making any changes since your weight loss is progressing. This is probably just a blip.

Several people here have mentioned weighing daily, but only using one day a week for recording purposes. In the beginning, I weighed every day, but now that it has "settled down" a bit, I usually only weigh about twice a week -- I think that's often to catch any bad trends before they get out of hand, but allows for the slight fluctations that may occur from day to day. Since you've only been at it for 18 days, I suggest you stick with your current plan for a few more week (at least for a total of 30 days) and then re-evaluate what you are doing. Remember, you didn't put all the weight on at once, it won't all come off at once.

Exercised muscle holds water when in repair mode - it will go down again.

muscle weighs more than fat and if there was excessive exercise, you may have lost fat, but gained muscle which could show up as a gain on the scale. Do you check your measurements at all? Sometimes I find that is a better indicator. Hope that helps :)

You had a huge drop yesterday because of all the sweating. It's natural that you'll regain some of the water weight. I agree with Pandasmom. What you've been doing has been working, so stick with it.

Muscle does not weigh more than fat...pound for pound equal. Muscle is more dense than fat.

Lou, open up other people's weight calendar/charts and diet logs. Find someone who is about your weight and who's losing faster, then compare your stats. I think you might find that your RDI is set too high, or just that you are eating too many calories. The beauty of FS, is that our stats are all there for research. You can set your RDI lower; that's what I had to do in order to pick up the pace of weight loss. You can also look at macro ratios to see what's working for people. We're all sharing and experimenting here!:)

I totally agree with you, Erika! :)

@HCB I know a pound is a pound, and perhaps I mispoke, but my understanding is that even a small muscle gain is going to weigh more than a small fat gain due to the density, no? Is that wrong?

Exercise causes the muscles to retain water to help them heal. This shows on the scale as a temporary gain, no loss or smaller than usual loss. Google "why the scale lies" for insight. It will go away. It takes weeks/months of hard work to gain an actual pound of muscle. Just keep going and the scale will catch up.
