A new low today...I'm in the 170's! And my collarbones made an appearance for the first time in years and years. I looked in the mirror, and there were actual shadows under them! Wow!
I love hitting thrift stores..you just never know what you'll find. The other day, I got a pair of 5 lb dumbbells for $1 each, and some neoprene swim gloves that turn my hands into power fins. When I brought the dumbbells home, the bag was almost too heavy for me to carry. But I have them sitting in my office, so every time I walk by them, I do a few reps of curls, tricep extensions, side lifts, etc. They are starting to feel not so heavy any more. And using my neighbor's pool has really helped in the last few weeks. I was able to do 15 minutes of jogging in place without even getting out of breath. I was stunned. I also did squats, stretching, stationary kicks, and a few other things that made for a nice, 45 minute workout. Which is about 100% more exercise than I was getting 3 weeks ago.
It's working. Yesterday, I caught sight of my forearms in the mirror, and good golly, I could see muscle definition, and watch them move under my skin.
Every day there is a change..some big, some small...but it's getting to be a lot of fun watching my body reshape itself.
I want to thank everyone who supported my last post about my epiphany. You all helped more than you will ever know.

Thanks everyone! YOU are a big reason this is happening! I learn from your struggles, I am strengthened by your successes, and I learn from your experiences. I have never in my life felt so supported, encouraged and determined.

@Doobrie, Exercise has always been the determining factor for me. Considering that for the last year, I have been pretty much a slug, ANY moving is going to make a difference! ROFL. As I get lighter and stronger, it will play an even bigger part, I'm sure. Heck, I might even get back to playing disc golf when the weather cools!
