I'm curious, how often does everyone weigh in? I checked my weight this morning and found that I lost 1.4, but I just weighed in yesterday. Should I wait a week just to be sure, or record it and be happy?

I weigh every day, but usually only record if it has gone down. However I'm doing several challenges that require weekly weigh-ins, so even if it's gone up I would record that when required. Pinned to my bedroom wall I have two hand-drawn charts for recording daily weight and weekly weight. The weekly weight is a smoother line, so more encouraging. The daily weight is like reminder that I have to keep trying every day! If you have lost 1.4 pounds, that is terrific! I would want to tell the world about that one! Well done 😀😀😀

I jump on the scale most days, do an average over a week as I have learned I fluctuate 2 pound up or down.

I can't help myself, I weigh everyday. My rule is I record when I've lost a full pound, no matter the frequency. I like looking back on my timeline and seeing when I've lost rapidly, or when it's taken me several days (or weeks) to move the scale down. I don't mess with the percentages though, only full pounds. I also don't record gains, only losses.

I like weighing just once a week - in the morning.

Thanks guys! It's been a few hours and I went back to weigh myself and it still saying I lost, so I'm going to record. It will definitely motivate me to keep trying to reach my goal weight. And in the coming days, if I gain then of course I will record that too.

I have only been at it a week, but I find, for me, its better to weigh in daily. This way I can adjust things as needed, but I don't panic if a pound is gained, I adjust diet drink more water. And when I see pounds drop I feel motivated even more. Finding what works for you is key.

I weigh in every day. I have a daily log of weight, BP and glucose. I try to log in at least once a week.

I officially weigh in once a week, but I check it daily just for the boost or to adjust what I am eating.

I weigh myself every day but I only record it on here once a week. My weight tends to fluctuate on a daily basis and I think recording it only weekly give a more accurate picture of the general direction things are going. Like Sharoncline, it helps me make adjustments for the day if my weight is up any.

Daily. Keeps me honest. Don't always post it.

Once a week. Your weight is an average because various things [food, fluid retention, lack of sleep, even the weather, etc.] can cause fluctuations.

I weight when I feel like it - but record once a week or every 10 days or so...then it seems like a "real" weight.

I weigh in once a week, Tuesday - actually lost 2 more lbs. Yeah! Everyone is different, this works best for me. I am 10 pounds from my goal weight. But I started back in February using my fitness pal - have lost 32 pounds - I do walk an average of 3.75 miles a day. I go in the morning, just as it's getting light. I am retired now, so I don't have to hurry about getting ready for work. So every one have a great day and will pray for success for everyone!
