Greetings Buddies:
This morning I have been thinking about all those old sayings we heard as children that seem to apply to our journeys. What do YOU remember and how might it help you now?
"Why put off until tomorrow what you can do today?"
"Things do not change; we change."
"Nothing succeeds like success."
"Actions speak louder than words."
"Anything worthwhile is difficult."
Words of the Week: "When you have the enthusiasm and the passion, you end up figuring out how to excel."
I am dedicated, determined and diligent.

Don't cry over spilled milk. In Spanish don't cry over spilled beans. Why are there so many that include food items?

"The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step" Lao Tzu.
Not one from childhood, but wish it had been. The quotes from my childhood wouldn't be at all helpful :-(

ALL of these are great ones - I love hearing from different viewpoints and what we learned as kids.

"There is a good dog and a bad dog fighting within each of us. The one that is going to win is the one we feed the most" - Chinese Proverb
Sounds almost like the good dog would get FAT-(grin) But no, it's about taking responsibility, good attitudes, thinking good thoughts about people, letting go the bad and keeping the good, eating right instead of bad. I've always liked it, because it says it all.

Plus Katred12 I think the feeding is about nurturing. Kind of like reaping what we sow, along with our inner battles. Nice proverb though, I enjoy ones that I haven't heard before. :)

If you weren't like you are, you'd be different.
What goes around comes around.
If you always do what you've always done, you'll always get what you've always gotten!
