I'm mad. Had a slightly higher carb day yesterday, then ate out last night. This morning I'm up by 2 pounds! If I hadn't of vowed to weigh in every day I never would have recorded it. Now I've got to stay fighting mad and get rid of this gain ASAP.

On a more positive note, my best shopping buddy and I are going to the Mall Saturday. She is a fast paced walker so there will be plenty of exercise (and very little eating).

Oh, and DH just called to say my son had something delivered for Mothers Day. Maybe flowers! Can't wait to get home to see.

I can identify with that, been there and done it many times especially recently. Just drink lots of water and cut back for a day or two, the gain which is pretty much water will drop off. Hope you get a wonderful surprise when you get home. :)

Its salt, no worries, you can't actually gain 2 pounds in a day unless you ate a smallish calf. I am looking forward to my macaroni necklaces and burnt pancakes this weekend. Buy yourself something pretty tomorrow.

Don't worry about the weight, it's probably water and will drop off fast. Hope you get something nice.

It's really amazing how much salt restaurants end up adding to your food. Sometimes, even processed meat will add an extra pound or two in the same way. Mall shopping, sign me up! That, plus the possibility of some flowers, and I'd say your weekend is looking fabulous! Happy upcoming Mother's Day!

Don't worry Buffy! Typically when you have a higher carb day you shouldn't try to weigh in right after because you retain more water from a higher carb day. Don't give up keep being strong and the water build up will go away in a few days

I am sure you guys are right (about the water weight). And I've been here long enough to know if I want to see results I'll need to work harder. Or, as Gwen told me yesterday "The elevator to success is closed. You'll have to take the stairs".

Yes - people are right - drink more water than yo9u would usually and cut back one day. I just did after my dinner out last weekend and it really helped.

Glad I didn't say that I was going to report my weight daily or I would be sitting in the corner with you....saw a slight up today and can't figure out where it came from but obviously something I did, didn't like me. Like you, I am committed that it will be coming off as up is the wrong direction:) Enjoy your shopping trip...

I agree with everyone else ^ that it's just a little water gain. I don't weigh daily because of that. Your weight will fluctuate, sometimes 3 or 4 times in a day!! I just won't be tied to that scale. I weigh on Monday (Dr visit) and Thursday. That gives me a general idea of how I'm losing. You are doing just fine! Drink lots of water!!

You weight can fluctuate 2 to 2 1/2 pounds I wouldn't recommend worrying about a one day slide, stick to your diet and exercise plan and you will be fine even my trainer said it's ok to cheat 1 day a week as long as you don't make it a habit for your other days. hang in there!!!
