BuffyBear's Journal, 07 May 2015

For the last couple of weeks I've been making an effort to get more exercise and am starting to see some benefits. No, the scale hasn't moved much but the "spare tire" is less noticeable and the jeans are a bit more comfy.

Another glimmer of light at the end of the tunnel :)

I think that's the best way to tell, when clothes fit looser. The scale can lie.

Ditto what CH said...Scales can be notoriously "unreliable"!!!!!!!

CatHerder & STT - Thanks. Wish I wasn't so dependent on that deceitful piece of equipment.

HCB - Yes - Yippee indeed! And I now have another outfit to wear to work.

YAY!! Buffy! My fluffy middle still needs to go away!!!

wholefoodnut - I still have plenty of fluff! You see, when I bought this new top a month ago it was a little too tight to wear. It now skims over the fat rolls enough so I am not so self conscious in it. Little things mean a lot.

They do!!! I have a cool little black tight fitting summer top hanging in my closet that is my goal. It shows off the fluffy rolls too much for me!! LOL

We all need to rely more on our clothes and less on the scale. Sometimes we don't even realize things fit or look better at first because we are focused on numbers. Congrats on less fluff, and better fitting clothes!

Bethlauren - The scale may lie but the mirror doesn't.

Yay for lights at the end of the tunnel....fluffy middles sound so much better than "muffin tops."

Gwen - I'm like a child. I need rewards sprinkled along the pathway to keep me on track.

I hate spare tires too....unless they're on my car! LOL! Good for you on the exercise. "They" say it's supposed to improve one's mood, even if it doesn't have a major, direct effect on weight loss. And, if one's mood is better, that should make this weight loss journey easier to manage, right?
