Oh that's terrible, our family has dodged getting sick so far this winter (knock on wood) but I hear we have dodged some horrid flu's. I hope your kids feel better soon!

Oh man.... so sorry you and your sons are going through this. Drink drink drink. I just picked up powerade zero for my son as he's ill. Want to make sure he doesn't get dehydrated.

Strep throat is so miserable. It's like swallowing razor blades, isn't it? Glad you have meds to take care of it. So sorry you and the family are so ill.

Knowing what it's like to swallow with strep throat, I would stick to my usual...yogurt with the antibiotic. I never take an antibiotic without having two or three yogurts a day for the duration plus three days.

So here's the thing.... I told the doctor that as well because I always do that and he said the cultures die almost as soon as they hit your stomach acid in yogurt and therefore has very little actual effectiveness. He said to get relief to try the big mega dose capsules you can buy like Culturelle. I have to say its bad but much better than its been in the past. Maybe the bugger did really go to medical school! ( or he's had lots of diarhea, ewwww)
Thanks for all the well wishes. I am mostly trying to rest when I can between beating the children and eating bonbons.

Oh my Nic ... how awful! Gosh, darn and jeez! I've had strep once ... never want to experience that mess ever again. When I have to do antibiotics, I take some pretty strong pro-biotics (Bio-K Plus - don't know if it is cheaper than Culterelle). Hand washing is critical ... we have to be vigilant about it!
