Bah! Ive been testing out the gluten free recipes before I give them to the kids. Apparently the half I didn't immediately spit out kicked me out of ketosis. The good news is so far we have pancake, pizza crust, bread, and pasta recipes. So snacks is the tough one.

Seriously I think I can only hope to maintain until I get the kids and me well enough to get back to somewhat normal. I tried to run last night and it was a no go.

I can't find a damn decent gluten free cheese cracker anywhere. Geesh, where are all these GF kids getting their goldfish?

Looking forward to Spring!

Good job on the weight loss! Do you find it tough to exercise while in ketosis?

It was hard to get through a 5 mile run at first but I added a few fat snacks and my energy/ speed ramped up. I need a bit more water than I used to also. Amazingly I have fewer aches, pains, and soreness( most likely general inflammation) since I switched to LCHF. After the first few weeks of adjustment it was easier to work out more often. Not sure if thats typical? I was pretty athletic to start with.

I made cheddar/flax seed crackers last night and the grandkids gobbled them up. I substituted sharp cheddar cheese for the Parmesan in my cracker recipe (I think it was from Wheat Belly). I used my NutraBullet to pulverize the cheddar into the flax flour (I added a lot). Then we sprinkled the Parmesan and a little sea salt on top before baking.

maybe you could try making kale chips then dipping them in cheese?

lol I dont think kale dipped in cheese is going to replace goldfish crackers for a 5 year old. (if only it were that easy!) thanks though. Buffy where did you come across that recipe, google is not my friend today.

Eliminating wheat from my diet helped my joints so much. My hips are where I am arthritic, I think.

No clue on gluten free treats. Have you tried substituting the flour with coconut flour? I've never used it, might try some next week. Eliminating wheat does help some people. Also with arthritis eliminating inflammatory foods help a lot. My oddball plan fits the anti-inflammatory plan pretty well, it does say eliminating wheat is needed by some. The mayo clinic site has info on this.

oh sailrgrl, I love you. That looks like an easy goldfish recipe there. I will try it tomorrow.

Sailrgrl, looks like an interesting site. Once I figure out how to get my printer to work with this new laptop I'm going to sign up for her free class. Looks interesting for all kinds of natural living solutions.

I thought your were vegetarian? What are you eating for protein? (Too lazy to look this morning.)

Probably better to use SailorGirls recipe since I kind of made mine up as we went along.

Great. Let us know how they taste and if they pass the kid test. I have three kiddos! If you are on Pinterest, there are a bunch of recipes. Follow me at Live Life Mon

Lol NM half a chicken breast every now and again, nut butters, and gobs of eggs. My almond milk has some too and my home made goat cheese. My protein is adequate and I've had plenty of fats. Surprisingly I am not missing the grains too much.
