Hey My Buddies:

How is everyone this weekend? I have been self-indulgent with food choices the last two days...I think I am getting "prepared" for the big 30 day challenge a
t Orange Theory Fitness that starts on September 15th!

Humpf...it would be helpful if I got it together sooner so the challenge will just be back to my "normal" routine! I am hoping this coming week will start me on the path to better food choices.

Fortunately, I maintain my exercise routine! I try for 16 workouts in every month - which is a good number for me. Anything beyond that is extra great!


I still feel like I need a good butt-kick on the food front! I did really well in May and June, July was medium and August has been a real challenge with food. Not sure why I started crashing but I really want to regain control in September!


I am dedicated, determined, and diligent!

Hey CR - I am a smaller size than I was one year ago but figure I weigh more on the "Idiot Box" - but I am more interested in moving fat to muscle so losing inches is my goal...but I get mad at myself when I eat stuff I just should not eat...I feel like crap after too many wheat type carbs or sugar

The 30 Days of Healthy Living Challenge is logging all food, drinking 64oz of water, sleeping a minimum of 6 hours a night, meeting your personal nutrition goals, and exercise at least fours days a week. Everyone throws in $10 and we get points every day for meeting our challenge goals. Anyone who gets 120 points gets thrown into a drawing for all the money! So if 50 people do it, you get $500 - if 100 people do it then you get $1000.

Think about what you want health-wise. Picture yourself, your health, and your life how you really want it to be. Keep thinking about it until it becomes strong in your mind, and then you'll have the desire to eat healthy so that you can achieve those goals/ideals. Having a strong goal/sense of purpose makes it easier to act in tune with that goal and your willpower will be stronger. Make it easier on yourself by only buying healthy food in the supermarket and keeping your kitchen stocked all the time so that you won't be hungry and will only have healthy food to turn to. Remove all temptation. Possibly avoid eating out for a while, until you feel "secure" in your new habits. Do some research about health topics that interest you. Making health a central part of your life will make it easier to be healthy :)

August has been tuff for me too. A lot of parties in August for me, July was relatively quiet. Exercised more in August to make up for those days and I'm more comfortable with keeping up my exercising now because of that. Hoping for a very good September.
