good Sunday today all my soulmate, friends, buddies and readers...

It is Sunday today, again... I have had many Sundays in my life. For me today is a day of looking back at what i have done, and when i turn around i can see a long long road. It all started 2011 when i went to the sauna with my good friend. We where having buffet (all you can eat) and we piled up, chatted, piled up and chatted, and then chatted some more... I was thinking about losing weight a long time and i saw my good friend heading my way (me 113+ kilo, her 85+ kilo) I took the boldest step and told her that we should do it together, make each other accountable... and that was a very good move...
She was the one that found FS, it was the beginning of the long long road...
in a year time we both lost 25 kilo (50 kilo together) and then ...

she was done. She reached her goal and i was friend/buddie less...

It was a weird time for me, because she started to do all these things like fitting dresses looking in mirrors admiring herself, getting married in the process... and me... well i was "just halfway" and i lost my motivation BIG TIME!!!

i weighed 86.3 last year this time (lowest weight since journey) and i slowly started gaining again... getting frustrated, with myself with my body with food... with everything...

oktober 2013 i weighed 95.5 kilo and i saw this add in the paper: 5 weeks join our "fit village" challenge for just 50 euro. And second very good move was made... i had to go three times a week, and i did, besides that i exercised as much as i could, but still did not get eating pattern under controle, with binging-moods and giving-up sessions...
but my body grew stronger, and i started to visit the forums here on FS... i prolonged my membership at the gym and since january you could find me there almost every day... but my body was not getting any stronger... i started recording all i ate again... and then the golden hint came to me, sadly i do not remember how i figured it out:

my diet was totally missing protein!!! i upped the protein from 20-30 grams a day to 110-120 grams a day... and things started moving!!!

hardly any binging anymore, so food pattern was easier to follow, and at the gym i could suddenly up the weights and i could keep going longer and longer...

now i go to the gym every day, and i am allowed one skip in the week. usually saturday...

i am looking forward to weighing 86.2 (lower then ever before) and i am proud of me (did i say that?) that i did not let it get too far before i could turn the wheel again! how close i was to giving up last year you cannot imagine, but i didn't. I DIDN'T!!!

since oktober i lost almost 10 kilo, and only the mirror and the weights are telling me how much muscle i gained... i am ready for Easter! bring on the salmon-salad from my mother-in-law, the chocolate eggs and temptations!!! I will wear my jingling earrings and enjoy their sounds when i shake my head, NO!

Prepare for battle lady's (and gentlemen, but you cannot wear your battle-earrings), because THIS Easter WE are going to say NO!!!!

NO

Maud, if you gave that peach to a group of soldiers about to go into battle they would follow you anywhere that is inspiration in anybody's book. That is probably the most positive post I have ever read from you and wow....does it make me proud to be your Buddy....OH BOY !!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you for that...you know what! I actually had made and eaten my supper right before reading this today. I made fish...and ate mostly just fish for my supper. Packed with protein and very good for me too! I have been thinking of more protein lately myself. I bought some special k protein bars for snacks. They have and will give me the extra protein that I know I need.

You said your friend was "done" and you lost your buddy at that point. Did your friend keep her weight off? I see this site, and of course Weight Watchers, as a tool to not only lose it but to keep it off, and to also offer support to others as they are on their road to health too.

I agree as a tool to keep following a healthy eating and exercise for the long run. this is not a short term project but one for life. to make life as healthy and active as possible.

Maud, I will say, "NO"! Goodbye Peeps and chocolate-covered marshmallow eggs. I will miss you old friends. (Then again, maybe I won't...). I sincerely appreciate the info you sent me about protein. In my quest to stay well under my calories, fat and sodium, I was completely falling behind in protein. It's a balancing act that I'm still learning. I understnad about your friend. My friend had much less to lose than I, and so it's not that she doesn't continue to watch her weight, but she does not have to be as committed to the process of losing as I. Losing seems a VERY different beast than maintenance. Lastly...salmon salad...yummm!

my advice for men would be to wear a tie! then you can feel it constricting you when you try to say yes... and maybe then you will change your mind!!! (*lol*) and you will also LOOK GOOD!

A tie? I'll make you a deal. Get into your high heals. Why not just make me get a nose ring so I can be led around by it. I'm sorry. I'm not a very 'domesticated' male. *smirk*

Maud, would you not be so embarrassed if I only wore a tie dear ?

i'll be armcandy only if my hubbie is prepared to be my handsome sugardaddy, and a tie really gets my gear going... TMI.

Ties look uncomfortable to me. I can't stand things tight around my neck.

although i do approve of LGBTQQ community... i do not swing that way myself wholefoodnut (*lol*) i'll never be your armcandy, so you can leave the tie at home, just wear your jingly earrings (*lol*)

Not sure what initials mean. Men look nice in ties, but I always want to go loosen them for them....just my craziness. I even slice a slit in the necks of my t shirts. Jingly earrings are good...

So inspireing, my jingly earings are set out and ready!
