Greetings my buddies! Wow - I have been just missing in action this week. The Carb Monster is killing me! I really am struggling to get myself back on the program here.

I am not giving up or giving in at all - but this feeling reminds me of last December. Once I allow the carbs into the diet like the holidays or my recent vacation, it is just ridiculously difficult to stay on target for me.

I have not been overeating - just choosing poorly all week; banana bread, rye toast, hot cocoa, etc.

It is the horrible, long Winter here that depresses me. We have a "blizzard" advisory tonight! Really? March 17th! Give me a break.

I bottomed out so bad last year at this time, then I got motivated and joined FatSecret! So, I know I just have to ride it out a couple more weeks and I can get fully committed!

Please send me your good energy! I am in tears right now.

I am dedicated, determined, and diligent!

Winter is hard - spring in less than a week. I know you can do this! I'm so craving carbs I could eat a whole loaf of bread if I started.. hard to give up. Tricky too - even just one cup of cereal last night and I wanted to eat all day today. Just got my chia seeds in.. love what they did for oatmeal. Buck up little soldier :-)

I am on a first-name basis with the Carb Monster, HCB. You are describing it to a tee. They are definitely addicting! My mom used to say that it's harder for the overweight to lose weight than for an alcoholic to stop drinking, because your body doesn't NEED alcohol, but you can't just stop eating...she was right! Hang in there, girl!

Yep, I'm really super bummed about being in this stupid blizzard advisory - I just want SPRING!!! Everyone keeps talking about how it was like 72 degrees on this day last year.... ugh!!! Hang in there, the weather will turn for the best soon and will improve everyone's mood!!

Oh, I so relate to your situation! The lack of motivation, even though our causes may be completely different, is such a difficult thing to overcome. Tears are good. Tears cleanse and wash away the negativity. Have a good cry. Regroup. Analyze. And come back stronger. We can do it!

Tell me about it I have been out the gym for 4 months now its really hard since I started working and going to school. I also had recent surgery so it hasnt been the best still recovering. I need to make April the best since my birthday is in July turning 25! We need to motivate each other lol

Spring is on it's way. The snow will melt and your spirits will lift. Turn on your happy light and look how far you have come, and the challenges that you have conquered. This is just a dip in the road. Hang tight things will get better for you and the muchie monster will once again be sent packing.

I wish I could send you some of this Maui sunshine! Maybe some fresh fish, local beef, and produce from the farmer's market (not the Maui Macaroons, lol) . I'll have to settle for some good positive energy to help you slay that carb monster. You have what it takes inside you, but we could all use a little boost now & then. We're all with you!

I can relate too. We're all sitting here desperately waiting for better weather. It'll be here soon, HCB, just you hold on and make the best of the time we have now.
