So, I have been away for about 3 weeks trying to figure out what I want to do. After about 20 weeks, keto was not really cutting it. I lost 10 pounds the first 2 weeks and then none after that. It was pissing me off royally as I was 100% on point... I weighed everything. I hit my macros every day. And I never over-ate in calories. And I was NOT willing to go down to 10 carbs, as someone suggested. That would essentially eliminate vegetables. And I am not willing to do that. I believe vegetables are necessary.

I wanted to just give up 100%.

So, I spent all this time deciding what I want to do.... and I decided for me, keto is not right. I do need to keep may carbs down though. So, I will go traditional low carb.... but even though I have back pain ( degenerative disc disease ) I am starting at the gym tomorrow.

Wish me luck......

Please be sure to work with someone trained to help you with your back pain. I found that there is usually someone at the gym who will guide you to the proper equipment so that you don't get hurt or make your condition worse. I have had great results with my physical issues by following what the physical therapist suggested.

Praying for you! That sucks in both categories (non-loss and pain). Best wishes!

Sorry to hear that you’re struggling. I’ve been Keto since August and I too only lost ten pound, but... on another note, my feet and ankles don’t swell anymore and I’ve lost six inches around my chest and another inch off each arm. I love the Keto way because it’s not only weight, it’s inches. The weight will follow and that means eating right, the weight won’t come back. Good luck with your endeavors.

After kissing many diet frogs, I finally have a lifestyle that makes me happy and works for me. Keep searching for the one that's good for you. Good luck!

First thought is that it could be related to insulin. May be worth while to mention it to a good doctor, with keto healing experience.

I hope you find the diet that works best for you.

So frustrating! I get it 💯. Trying a tweak sounds smart. Have you heard of the golden rules of carbs and fat loss by Elizabeth Benton?

Think "fiber" more so than "carbs", if that helps (it helped me). And, in as far as hitting the gym... what's your plan? Strength, endurance, etc.

Good luck to you! Awesome that you've decided what works for you - this is the #1 most important thing any of us can do - that and keep an open mind as things change just as we human beings do... Lots of people here have tried and succeeded (or not) on any number of different ways of eating. The important thing is to keep trying - and adjust as necessary.

low carb works, nothing wrong with that. sometimes it is the foods you eat that cause issues as well. too much cheese can slow down weight loss. If you love veggies then adding them may be a great benefit to you.
